    Refinery Plant & Operations Manager

    Job Description

    • A leading industrial company is seeking an experienced Refinery Plant & Operations Manager with strong operational, safety, and team leadership capabilities to ensure efficient, compliant, and high-quality refinery output.

    Responsibilities:

    • Oversee daily refinery operations, ensuring production targets, quality standards, and timelines are met.
    • Maintain full compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations and manage SHEQ systems.
    • Lead and develop refinery staff, fostering a high-performance and safety-focused culture.
    • Implement preventative and corrective maintenance plans to ensure equipment reliability.
    • Manage production scheduling and coordinate with procurement, sales, and dispatch.
    • Oversee stock levels, monthly inventories, and material procurement.
    • Drive continuous improvement and ensure products meet required quality specifications.
    • Track and control production, maintenance, and energy costs while monitoring key KPIs.

    Requirements:

    • Degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Process Engineering (preferred).
    • Minimum 10 years’ experience in refinery or petrochemical operations.
    • Strong leadership, decision-making, and communication skills.
    • Proficiency in ERP systems, Microsoft Office, and exposure to SCADA/PLC systems.
    • Solid understanding of ISO standards, safety protocols, and refinery equipment operation.

    Internal Sales Trader

    Job Description

    • A dynamic industrial company is looking for an experienced Internal Sales Trader with a strong background in fasteners, engineering, or industrial supply. The successful candidate will provide efficient sales support, maintain customer relationships, and assist in order processing within a fast-paced environment.

    Responsibilities:

    • Respond promptly to customer calls and emails, providing accurate quotations and product information.
    • Assist customers in selecting suitable fasteners based on application, material, grade, and standards.
    • Follow up on quotations to convert them into sales orders.
    • Capture and process customer orders accurately, confirming pricing and stock availability.
    • Coordinate with Warehouse and Procurement teams to ensure timely order fulfillment.
    • Maintain updated customer records, price lists, and backorder follow-ups.
    • Develop product knowledge and recommend alternatives when stock is unavailable.
    • Collaborate with sales team and management to achieve targets.

    Requirements:

    • Matric (Grade 12) required.
    • Minimum 2–3 years of internal sales experience in fasteners, engineering, or industrial supply.

    Shipping Specialist

    Job Description

    • A well-established company in the manufacturing and supply chain industry is looking for an experienced Shipping Specialist with a strong background in import, export, and transportation logistics to plan, execute, and optimise end-to-end shipping activities while ensuring compliance, cost efficiency, and on-time delivery.

    Responsibilities:

    • Develop, map, and review shipping plans aligned to sales and financial forecasts
    • Consolidate quarterly shipping plans to optimise costs
    • Monitor and manage monthly shipping budgets against project allocations
    • Manage and improve shipping and distribution methods to enhance efficiency
    • Provide logistics and shipping support for new and potential orders
    • Propose shipping solutions for local and international customers
    • Manage SLAs and performance of third-party service providers (freight forwarders, clearing agents, transporters)
    • Oversee customs submissions and shipping documentation for imports and exports
    • Ensure compliance with transport regulations, INCOTERMS, and applicable legislation
    • Prepare shipping reports and presentations for management and project planning

    Requirements:

    • Diploma in Shipping, Maritime, Logistics, Transportation, or NQF 6 equivalent
    • Minimum 8 years’ experience in shipping, logistics, or transportation, including imports and exports
    • Strong knowledge of customs, VAT, and shipping regulatory requirements
    • Extensive experience with INCOTERMS and transport compliance standards
    • Understanding of dangerous and/or flammable goods handling (advantageous)
    • Experience working with ERP systems; SAP knowledge beneficial
    • Valid Code 08 driver’s licence
    • Strong negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
