    HR Practitioner: Recruitment (C3)

    • The successful applicant will report to the HR Practitioner Recruitment, Compensation and Benefits or nominee.

    MINIMUM EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

    • Grade 12 / Standard 10 Certificate.
    • National Diploma in Human Resources Management.
    • Code 08 (B) Drivers Licence.
    • Advantageous: South African Board of Personnel Practitioners membership.

    EXPERIENCE (including but not limited to):

    • 2 years practical experience in recruitment.
    • 1 year practical experience in HR Administration.

    DUTIES (including but not limited to):

    • Coordinate full recruitment process in a timeous and effective manner, meeting customer requirements while adhering to labour request. Prepare advert template online and advise Area HR Practitioner to raise a requisition. Process the approved labour request and publish the advertisement online. Screen all applications received online in accordance with the minimum requirements of the position. Extend the shortlist to Line Supervisor shortlisting. Draft a shortlist summary to confirm the shortlist and submit to the HR Practitioner Recruitment Compensation and Benefits for approval. Schedule interviews by arranging venue, candidates, interview panel and interview files. Arrange relevant assessments where necessary. Ensure that candidates complete all necessary recruitment documentation and collect necessary documents.
    • Perform criminal, credit and qualification verification for all candidates interviewed. Conduct employment reference checks. Prepare interview scores and assessment outcomes and submit for approval. Prepare offer of employment and submit to Line Supervisor for approval. Provide interview outcome feedback to candidates.
    • Draft welcome notes for new employees. Prepare audit file for accurate record keeping. Update the HR System on receipt of the recruitment letters. Engage new employees and ensure all documents are completed.
    • Provide weekly recruitment progress reports to supervisor/manager and line manager. Document control and record keeping compliance.
    • Effective communication with shortlisted candidates.

    HRD Superintendent (D2)

    • The successful applicant will report to the HR Manager or nominee.

    MINIMUM EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

    • National Diploma in OD / ETDP.
    • Code 08 (B) Driver’s Licence.
    • Advantageous: Management Development Programme (or equivalent).
    • Advantageous: Assessor, Facilitator, Moderator, & Coach the Learner certificate.
    • Advantageous: Skills Development Facilitator (SDF) certificate.

     EXPERIENCE (including but not limited to):

    • 5 years Operational technical experience.
    • 5 years Training and development experience in a similar position including preceding roles.

    DUTIES (including but not limited to):

    • Manage and organise all training functions across disciplines for all business units to ensure training interventions address both current and future needs of business and deliver a competent workforce. To strategically analyse all training and development needs for business units and develop training plans to address identified business needs.

    Financial Perspective:

    • Contribute to annual departmental budget planning by compiling operational, capex and labour budgets for sub function and submit to line management for approval for Human Resources Development section as well as Social Labour Plan, Human Resources Development portion for the Socio-Economic Development section.
    • Effectively manage sub-function and SLP HRD and its objectives in line with approved budgets (operational, capex and labour), report variances as required and recommend / implement remedial action within span of control.

    • Identify training needs or coaching and ensure mentoring is conducted to close the skills gap.
    • Recommend and approve development plans and ensure optimized team structure is manned by motivated and empowered staff, and lead by sound performance management and transformational leadership practices.
    •  Promote teamwork, provide support, manage, and evaluate performance by creating and maintaining individual development plans and performance contracts for subordinates.
    • Analyse labour plan, performance deviations, IDP's and SLP to derive technical training schedules and prospectus. implement training policies and ensure availability of training and development at all levels.
    • Implement technical training and report on all technical training interventions. Internal progress reports and training administration.
    • Manage expenditure against budget.
    • Development of training material to ensure MQA and ISO alignment.
    • Consult with internal customers to evaluate quality of training and competence, application and performance.

    Section Engineer (D4)

    • The successful applicant will report to the Engineering Manager or nominee.

    MINIMUM EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

    • Degree or National Diploma: Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
    • Code 08 (B) Driver’s Licence.
    • Certificate: GCC Mines and Works.

     EXPERIENCE (including but not limited to):

    • 7 years extensive practical experience in a mining / production environment (Underground TMM, conveyors, and associated Underground infrastructure).
    • 2 - 3 years experience as a section engineer in a mining environment (Included above).

    DUTIES (including but not limited to):

    • Ensure efficient and effective maintenance and utilisation of allocated underground equipment and production processes to achieve production targets for the function/department/section to ensure business objectives are met. To manage and coordinate the engineering and operations activities and ensure that regulation 2.13.1 legal responsibility as required by statutory requirements are adhered to.

    Financial Perspective:

    • Coordinate Mining operations to ensure optimum and cost-effective recovery of Ore in accordance with sound mining practice to ensure the attainment of Department's production objectives.
    • Assist management in compiling the operational strategy, setting of achievable production targets and to compile, manage and control operational.
    • Application of engineering standards, principles and practice for the planning, design, and implementation of standard engineering outcomes.
    • Conduct basic analysis of engineering processes and process elements.
    • Contribute to annual departmental budget planning by compiling operational, capex and labour budgets for sub-function and submit to line management for approval.
    • Effectively manage sub-function and its objectives in line with approved budgets (operational, capex and labour), report variances as required and recommend / implement remedial action within span of control.

    • Ensuring equipment availability and efficient operations; Continuous improvement initiatives through tracking and analysis of asset utilization, costs, and planned maintenance compliance.
    • Ensure maintenance system are managed and new strategies implemented, conduct equipment failure analysis, and provide solutions to prevent reoccurrences.
    • Manage rotable equipment repairs, asset care and management of TMM equipment refurbishment and replacement strategy in consultation with the OEM.
    • Provide recommendations on equipment modification for improvements and upgrades in consultation with the OEM through a change management process, work planning and scheduling, budget, and cost management, TMM capital infrastructure management, labour and contractors management, leaner artisan, artisans and supervisors development and training. Schedule and manage the execution of the Enterprise Asset Management activities across sectional boundaries to meet availability and reliability targets by ensuring effective control of manpower and resources utilization. Analyses production and asset performance trends against set operational targets and to identify and implement corrective action and improvement opportunities, including liaison across interfaces. Assist management in compiling operational strategy, setting of achievable production targets and to compile, manage and control Capex and CAR budgets and to manage contractor performance against service level agreements. Manage the availability of spares and internal store stock levels including expediting.

    Customer / Stakeholder Relations Perspective

    • Build, manage, and maintain healthy diverse workable internal relations (Peer, Unions, Team, Organisation) and implement remedial actions where required. Build, manage and maintain Healthy external relations (Head Office, communities, government, etc.) to assist in achievement of organisational goals.
