    Senior Certified Aviation Technician: Mechanical

    Description

    • Required to perform various heavy maintenance duties including, but not limited to:
    • Conduct heavy maintenance inspections;
    • Conduct routine inspections on various mechanical systems on the aircraft;
    • Conduct fault finding and rectify based on the fault;
    • Perform C checks;
    • Perform thorough daily inspections of the aircraft to identify any potential issues or defects;
    • Conduct necessary maintenance tasks to ensure the airworthiness of the aircraft;
    • Adhere to established maintenance procedures and safety standards;
    • All activities must be properly recorded and signed off as per SACAA requirements ensuring that all the required legal aspects are complied with;
    • Health and Safety requirements must always be complied with to ensure Personal and other Personnel Safety, Fire and Accident/lncident preventions;
    • Ensure that the work area, equipment, and tooling are properly maintained and safe prior to starting any job to prevent accidents or incidents to aircraft and staff;
    • Apply analytical thinking and troubleshooting techniques to identify root causes and implement effective solutions;
    • Communicate clearly and professionally to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of maintenance tasks.

    Requirements

    • Grade 12 or Equivalent;
    • Trade test Certificate (Aircraft Mechanical) (Essential);
    • Heavy Maintenance experience (Essential);
    • Licensed AME with a SACAA A & C License on B737-800 (Essential);
    • Certified on CFM56-7B series engines (Essential);
    • Licensed AME with a SACAA A & C license on B737-8 (MAX) (Advantageous);
    • Certified on CFM-LEAP series engines (Advantageous);
    • Minimum of 15 years aviation maintenance experience (Essential);
    • Previous experience working as an Aviation Technician on B737-800 (Essential);
    • OJT experience (essential);
    • Previous experience working as an Aviation Technician on B737-8 (MAX) (Advantageous);
    • Willingness to work shifts, weekends and on public holidays;
    • Must be available and willing to travel at short notice, both locally and internationally;
    • Valid South-African passport holder;
    • Sound understanding of technical aircraft publications and documentation;
    • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook, PowerPoint).

    • Previous experience as an Aviation Technician on B737-8(MAX) avionics systems (Advantageous) OJT experience (Advantageous);
    • Must be willing to work shifts, weekends and public holidays, including overtime when required;
    • Must be available and willing to travel locally/internationally at short notice;
    • Valid South-African passport and driver's licence;
    • Sound understanding of technical aircraft publications and documentation (including SWPM);
    • Maintain a thorough understanding of aviation regulations and safety standards;

    GDS Billing & Reconciliation Administrator

    Description

    • Capture, check, and manually close IET coupons in line with company procedures.
    • Assist with ticketing review tasks, including ADM report updates and fare validation checks.
    • Record unbillable or rejected coupons and escalate unresolved cases to senior staff.
    • Support the administration of GDS refunds and re-accommodation queries.
    • Update billing tables and reconciliation spreadsheets as directed.
    • Maintain the GDS costings sheet, ensuring accuracy of data entries.
    • Assist with routine reconciliations between ticketing records and finance systems.
    • Perform filing, data capturing, and record-keeping duties.
    • Track assigned tasks, follow up on outstanding items, and provide regular updates to the team.
    • Contribute to departmental efficiency by supporting day-to-day operational needs.
    • Provide timely information to Finance, Revenue Accounting, and Distribution teams as requested.
    • Respond to basic ADM-related queries and escalate complex matters.
    • Support communication with interline partners as and when requested.

    Requirements

    • Grade 12 or Equivalent (Essential);
    • GDS Training/Certification (Preferred);
    • 1–3 years in an administrative or finance support role, preferably in the airline or travel industry (Essential);
    • Exposure to billing or reconciliations (Advantageous);
    • Experience working with Excel (Formulas, Pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and Data formatting) (Advantageous);
    • Familiarity with interline billing and ADM processes (Advantageous);
    • Willing to work overtime if required;
    • Comfortable working with data and in systems-heavy environments.

    Description

    • Analyse and interpret aircraft blueprints, specifications, and maintenance manuals to perform repairs.
    • Prepare surfaces and apply protective coatings to a variety of materials used on the aircraft.
    • Fabricate parts as needed.
    • Conduct maintenance.
    • Order supplies, equipment, materials, and parts for repairs and routine maintenance.
    • Safely operate various tools used for sheet metal applications.
    • Install, repair, inspect, and replace sheet metal components on aircraft, including structural assemblies.
