    Business Development Representative

    Kurtosys is seeking an individual to join our growing sales team in our Cape Town office. The role offers many perks, including competitive salary, commission on closed deals, and regular expenses paid international travel to the USA and / or Europe. In return, we expect a successful candidate to contribute to the development of the firms sales pipeline through direct inside and outside sales techniques as part of our team.
    NON-NEGOTIABLES:

    • Confidence: You will reach out to our prospects via digital and human channels to create brand awareness, and ultimately generate pipeline. To do this you will need to harbour a natural confidence in yourself and your abilities. On a daily basis you will need to source and contact our prospects, sharing thought leadership and other insights to generate awareness in our solution. You will attend in person conferences in places such as Boston and New York, and will network aggressively with delegates to build connections.
    • Organization Skills: You will create the very first brand impression of Kurtosys, a brand we have built on professionalism and respect of our clients. As such, we will expect you to never drop a ball when it comes to client follow up and outreach.
    • Agency and Work Ethic: Working in sales at Kurtosys is not a 9-5 job. You may need to adapt your personal schedule to meet with US clients late in your day, or to travel to meet clients on business trips. This level of output must come naturally to you.

    Risk, Security and Compliance Officer

    We are seeking a seasoned Risk, Security and Compliance Officer to strengthen our growing team. This role is intended to enhance the resilience of our team, reducing dependencies on a small number of individuals and broadening our capabilities across the risk spectrum.

    You will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing our integrated approach to Risk Management, Compliance, and Information Security, ensuring that our controls, governance, and operational practices are robust, scalable, and aligned with business priorities.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Risk & Compliance Leadership

    • Serve as the escalation point for AI-handled incidents. Validate actions taken and provide feedback to improve detection and response quality

    Performance & Resilience Metrics

    • Define and track KPIs for both AI agent performance and team resilience, including coverage, response times, and dependency risk

    Governance & Ethical Assurance

    • Ensure all security and compliance activities—including AI behaviour—adhere to policy, ethical standards, and audit requirements

    Cross-Functional Collaboration

    • Partner with all organisational teams to embed risk, security and compliance into product development and operational workflows

    QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

    • Experience in Risk Management, Compliance, and Information Security, ideally in a mid-sized or complex environment.
    • Ability to lead initiatives and influence senior stakeholders.
    • Experience with AI/ML tools and their application in security operations.
    • Understanding of modern security architectures (e.g., zero trust, cloud security, DevSecOps).
    • Familiarity with standards and frameworks such as SOC2, NIST, ISO, and MITRE ATT&CK.
    • Hands-on experience with SIEM, SOAR, EDR/XDR, and cloud security platforms.

    Technical Business Analyst

    As a Technical Business Analyst, you will be involved in analysing, specifying, and upgrading existing solutions for our clients. You will work closely with technical leads to analyse data, present options, and design solutions to meet client needs. You will also assist in resolving incidents related to client data, specific client configurations, or other external factors.

    This position requires working US-hours once a week: between 16:00 and 00:00 SAST, including public holidays.

    Responsibilities:

    • Analyse client data for validity, accuracy, and completeness.
    • Analyse client reporting requirements from data, formatting, and report workflow perspectives.
    • Engage in regular interactions with clients to ensure they are updated on production/change-related issues.
    • Monitor client production runs to ensure accuracy and on-time delivery of reports.
    • Identify core business problems to be solved and/or value to be added using analysis tools, techniques, and best practices.
    • Understand client setups and configurations by reading functional documentation to make necessary changes, enhancements, or fixes.
    • Achieve proficiency in the Kurtosys Studio Apps, platform, products, and all other technical aspects to solve complex business problems according to client requirements.
    • Configure changes and enhancements in JSON & SQL to our suite of Studio Apps and Datasets, ensuring high output standards based on business requirements and initial analysis estimations.
    • Maintain a holistic view of client data, current specifications, possibilities of the Kurtosys platform, and boundaries within the data/setup.
    • Apply your skills across multiple clients with varying solutions from Kurtosys.
    • Develop a healthy, constructive working relationship with the Client Services Delivery team and our clients across multiple time zones (Americas, EMEA, South Africa).
    • Continuously improve and add value to the Services team through open and honest communication, hosting training sessions, staying current with technical business analysis industry trends and technology, and sharing knowledge with the team.

    Requirements:

    • 5+ years of experience in a similar role.
    • Experience with database technologies such as SQL Lite and RESTful APIs (XML/JSON).
    • Intermediate or above T-SQL development experience.
    • Background in business analysis.
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
    • Self-motivated and highly driven to continuously learn, adapt, and improve.
    • Strong understanding of data structures.

    Senior Project Manager

    THE OPPORTUNITY

    • We are looking for a Senior Project Manager to manage the successful implementation of client projects, from new client acquisitions to updates for existing clients. These projects can span multiple Kurtosys product offerings, such as investment websites, investor portals, fund data experiences, and investment reporting tools. Our clients range from large asset managers to boutique investment firms and hedge funds.
    • As a Senior Project Manager, you will take ownership of multiple projects running concurrently, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and to the highest quality standards. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including Product Consultants, Designers, QAs, and other business functions, to drive project success and client satisfaction.

    YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Project Ownership: Oversee, manage, and deliver multiple client projects, driving timelines, milestones, and deliverables while ensuring the highest level of client satisfaction.
    • Stakeholder Communication: Regularly communicate with both internal teams and senior client stakeholders, ensuring alignment on project goals, risks, and deliverables. Prepare key project documents, such as agendas, minutes, project plans, sprint reports, and presentations for senior leadership.

    • 8+ years of experience in software quality assurance, with a proven ability to lead QA efforts in complex environments and drive alignment across multiple stakeholders.
    • Comfortable working in lean teams with limited direct support, able to prioritise, build, and deliver without waiting for perfect conditions.
    • Strong foundation in QA methodologies, risk-based testing, and adaptable frameworks that can meet both business needs and formal process requirements.
    • Experience designing and implementing test automation frameworks from the ground up, especially in environments where tooling is still maturing.
    • Confident engaging with clients and cross-functional teams, able to translate quality into language that makes sense to both business and technical audiences.
    • Excellent communicator with a knack for balancing pragmatism and process someone who can work within structure while still finding smart ways to move things forward.

    NICE TO HAVES: 

    • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
    • Experience working across both Agile (Scrum, Kanban) and Waterfall delivery models, particularly in environments transitioning to structured, project-based approaches.
    • Prior exposure to the Asset Management or broader financial services industry.
    • Experience managing QA in multi-client or B2B SaaS platforms where customization per client is common.
    • Understanding of test data management practices, including synthetic data creation or working with masked production data.
