    Estate Administrator: Retail Affluent: Sanlam Trust: Umhlanga

    What will you do?
    Output/Core Tasks
    Independent administration of deceased estates, including the following responsibilities :

    • Report estates to relevant parties.
    • Gather and evaluate information in order to prepare a Liquidation and Distribution account.
    • Draft final settlements and reconciliation statement of heirs.
    • Transfer / realise assets such as shares, unit trusts and fixed property.
    • Assist stakeholders ad intermediaries during the process.
    • Knowledgeable re Income Tax. CGT, Estate Duty, VAT.
    • Interpretation of wills.
    • Liaise with wills, estate and trust clients.
    • Manage own work flow as well as that of the Estate Administration Assistant.

    What will make you successful in this role?

    Qualifications
    Requirements

    • Grade 12
    • Estate & Trust Diploma or Legal Degree will be a strong recommendation.

    Experience

    • At least 5 years estate administration experience, including administration of more complex estates.

    Knowledge

    • Knowledge of relevant acts linked to estate administration.
    • Knowledge of drafting of wills.

    Financial Accountant: RA: Finance: Statutory and Regulatory Reporting: Bellville

    What will you do?
    Outputs/Core Tasks

    • Financial controls over investment asset data.
    • Prepare, review and submit financial results of subsidiaries.
    • Prepare investment vehicle consolidations.
    • Assist with preparation and submission of regulatory returns of subsidiaries.
    • Assist with confirmation of intergroup/related party balances.
    • Assist with implementation and monitoring of financial controls.
    • Complete annual financial statements for subsidiaries in accordance with accounting standards.
    • Assist with the preparation of assigned notes to the annual financial statements.
    • Fulfill the role as SAP super-user and trainer to the rest of the team (training will be provided).
    • Assist with ad hoc financial tasks/projects.

    What will make you successful in this role?

    Role Requirements
    Qualifications

    • BCom qualification with Financial Accounting as a major subject.
    • Completed articles will be a preference.

    Experience

    • At least 2+ years’ experience in a financial reporting environment.
    • Background experience within the financial services industry.

    Knowledge

    • Good technical accounting knowledge.
    • Knowledge of Sanlam’s financial reporting systems (Hyperion Financial Management, SAP) will be an advantage.
