    Minimum Requirements:

    Academic qualifications:

    • Relevant Computer Science/Software Development Masters degree.
    • Candidates with Honours/BTech degrees/Postgraduate Diplomas can be considered if we do not find enough suitable candidates with Master’s degrees.

    Experience:

    • 3 years teaching experience in a tertiary environment will be recommended.
    • Knowledge of the use of ITS will be an advantage.
    • Excellence in written, oral, and electronic communication skills.
    • Good command of the subject area

    Key performance areas/Core functions:

    • Teaching of subjects in the ICT Faculty at eMalahleni Campus.
    • Participating in curriculum development.
    • Perform administrative tasks related to teaching and learning and other functions of an academic department at a University of Technology.
    • Involvement in community engagement projects of the department.
    • Involvement in specific departmental activities e.g., such as presentation days, Departmental meetings, Open days, Registration, Orientation etc.
    • Lecturing duties: Lecturing, Invigilating, and Marking of Scripts, Processing of Marks.
    • Any other duty assigned by the Academic Manager.

    Key performance areas: 

    • Presenting lectures and assessing students in various subjects (Day classes); 
    • Be responsible for administrative tasks relating to Teaching and Learning; 
    • Involvement in departmental community projects; 
    • Compile and maintain quality study guides, subject files and other relevant Teaching and Learning material; 
    • Liaise with industry regarding WIL matters; 
    • Attend departmental meetings as required by the Faculty; 
    • Setting and marking all assessments; 
    • General administrative duties such as capturing of test and assignment marks on the ITS system and uploading documents on BrightSpace; 
    • Consultation with students. 

    Minimum requirements: 

    Academic qualifications: 

    • A Master’s degree in Public Management/Public Affairs/Administration/Local Government or equivalent. 
    • A qualification in Higher Education will be an advantage. 

    Experience: 

    • At least 3 years teaching experience at a tertiary institution is a requirement. 
    • Evidence of engagement in scientific research and publications in DHET accredited journals will be an added advantage. 
    • Registration with a professional body (if applicable).

    Part-Time Admin Assistant

    Key performance areas/Core functions:

    • Create designs for various corporate materials, including presentations, reports, brochures, advertisements and digital assets.
    • Prepare layouts and visuals based on brand guidelines.
    • Execute design requests for CAM.
    • Ensure all designs align with the TUT Corporate Identity guidelines.
    • Contribute ideas to enhance the brand’s visual identity.
    • Maintain consistency in the use of logos, fonts, colors and images across all media.
    • Design social media posts, banners, videos and infographics for digital platforms and other needs.
    • Collaborate with the CAM marketing team to develop digital campaigns.
    • Adapt designs for different screen resolutions and platforms.
    • Work closely with senior designers, marketers, and other departments to deliver creative solutions.
    • Participate in brainstorming sessions and provide input on design concepts.

    Minimum requirements:

    Academic qualifications:

    • NQF Level 6 qualification in Graphic Design 

    Experience:

    • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
