Working in close partnership with Sales, Project Engineering, and Commercial teams, this position is responsible for translating customer requirements into practical, engineered solutions that are commercially viable and technically robust.
What you’ll do:
Develop customer‑focused engineered solutions by collaborating closely with Sales teams and understanding application requirements.
Lead concept development and outline engineering for complex enquiries, including RFQs and tenders exceeding $10M USD.
Provide technical expertise in customer meetings, delivering application overviews and technical sales training on new and existing technologies.
Work with Project Engineering teams to validate and refine proposed technical solutions and build local project capability.
Advise Commercial teams on technical bid components, material specifications, and costing inputs for bespoke equipment.
Ensure all engineering deliverables meet operational excellence standards and comply with health, safety, and environmental requirements.
You’ll have the following skills and experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required; Chartered Engineer status preferred.
Minimum 10 years of experience in power engineering and/or renewable energy applications.
Strong technical knowledge of power generation equipment, energy storage systems, solar PV and related infrastructure.
Demonstrated ability to work cross‑functionally, with resilience, objectivity, and cultural sensitivity in global environments.
Experience managing complex technical inputs for large‑scale proposals and supporting pre‑sales or customer‑facing engineering activities.
Willingness and ability to travel internationally, especially within the Africa region; cross‑cultural work experience is an advantage.
