    Product Owner (Data)

    We are looking for a data and analytics delivery leader to manage and own a particular value stream within the Data and Analytics department and collaborate with relevant business divisions to identify data and analytic requirements which will support and deliver the business divisions' strategy and business objectives. We apply a value stream model with various guilds acting as centres of excellence, providing specific expertise and support for effective delivery of the value stream. The data product owner will therefore work across traditional organisational boundaries in a dynamic and agile environment and will be challenged to influence business owners with varying technical understanding levels of data and analytics. Experience

    Minimum:

    • At least 7 - 10 years' proven experience within a Delivery Manager or Data Product Owner role including experience in:
      • A fast paced, complex environment
      • Project and task planning and execution at a large scale within a complex and dynamic environment
      • Resource capacity planning using a shared pool of resources within a similar environment
    • Proven track record of delivering on complex data & analytics projects
    • Experience in research and the development life cycle
    • Problem solving using data analytics
    • Proven track record of business relationship management at all levels, especially at a senior/executive level
    • At least 2-5 years experience within a management role, in an environment focused on team development and client interaction

    Ideal:
     

    • Practical experience in applying Agile way of working methodologies (SAFe)
    • Exposure to working in a consulting environment would be advantageous

    Qualifications (Minimum)

    • A degree in a relevant subject, e.g. business science, computer science, mathematics, statistics or engineering
    • An additional post-graduate degree in a relevant subject, e.g. business science, computer science, mathematics, statistics or engineering would be ideal

    Knowledge

    Minimum:

    • Systems Development Life Cycle
    • Solid understanding of end-to-end D&A; environments, including Data Governance & Management, Data Warehouse, Business Intelligence and Data Science
    • Analytics, data architecture and big data

    Ideal:

    • Exposure to working in a consulting environment would be advantageous

    • Ability to establish and manage relationships with various individuals at differing levels of the business

    • Advanced planning, organising and coordination skills

    • Ability to deal with complex change in a high-pressured environment will be critical
    • Ability to manage conflicting priorities and opinions through effective conflict resolution
    • Ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously
    • Advanced computer literacy skills (MS Project, MS Office, ideally JIRA)

    Data Product Owner: Rest of Portfolio

    Purpose Statement

    • To manage and own the RoP value stream within the Data and Analytics department; collaborate with RoP  business divisions to identify data and analytic requirements which will support and deliver the RoP business divisions’ strategy and business objectives.
    • To serve as the data and analytics engagement person and subject matter expert to RoP business divisions, providing tactical direction on ‘how best’ to achieve objectives and improvements.
    • To plan, direct and coordinate the delivery activities of all data and analytics initiatives that need to be carried out for projects in the RoP value streams and ensure they are met in accordance with the agreed timelines.

    Experience

    Minimum:

    • At least 7 – 10 years’ proven experience within a Delivery Manager or Data Product Owner role including experience in:

    • A relevant post-graduate qualification in Statistics or Similar

    Knowledge

    Minimum:

    • Systems Development Life Cycle
    • Solid understanding of end-to-end D&A environments, including Data Governance & Management, Data Warehouse, Business Intelligence and Data Science
    • Analytics, data architecture and big data.

    Ideal:

    • Knowledge of IT within the banking industry
