    Financial Due Diligence Manager

    Qualifications / Certifications required:

    • CA (SA)

    Skills and experience required: 

    • Must have at least 1 or more year/s financial due diligence experience (not a newly qualified CA/(SA));
    • Excellent financial analytical skills and commercial awareness;
    • An interest in and knowledge of the financial markets;
    • Good understanding of IFRS and accounting standards;
    • Excellent report writing skills;
    • Excellent excel skills;
    • Good experience with Alteryx, PowerBI and other data analytics and visualisation tools;
    • Adhere to and promote quality and risk management standards;
    • Excellent communication skills;
    • Good interpersonal and client relationship skills;
    • A well-organised and self-directed individual who can relate to people at all levels of an organization;
    • Proven ability to multitask and ensure effective delivery of the priorities to meet targets and objectives;

    Responsibilities of role: 

    • Perform and prepare financial analysis from structured and unstructured data sets using data tools;
    • Be open to continuous learning and to embrace GenAI, technological enablement and personal upskilling in the firm's data and technological tools as they evolve;
    • Develop visualisations to effectively communicate findings;
    • Extract key commercial and deal insights from financial and non-financial data;
    • Identify key drivers of a business and potential deal breakers (financial and non-financial);
    • Write succinct, well-structured reports;
    • Perform risk management activities;
    • Effectively lead meetings with clients and senior personnel; and
    • Interact and coordinate with workstreams other than financial DD, i.e. Tax DD, HC DD, IT DD, commercial DD, etc. 

    Other:

    • There is an expectation that work will occur mostly from the office, however remote working is possible.
    • Occasionally, one will work on virtual UK projects to gain global deals experience.

    • As an associate, you will be required to have a basic understanding of environmental legislation and its application.     Qualifications / Certifications required:

    Professional accountants with post-graduate studies majoring in any of the below: 

    • Management Accounting: NQF Level 8 e.g. BCom Honours Degree

    Responsibilities of role:

    • Collecting and analysing remuneration data for PwC’s internal remuneration database;
    • Performing executive and non-executive director benchmarking and assistance in determining an appropriate comparator group;
    • Conducting critical reviews of client’s remuneration practices, and drafting papers including review outcomes and recommendations for new structures to clients (both executive management and remuneration committees);
    • Drafting of market practice papers on various elements of remuneration
    • Performing indicative financial modelling for variable incentive schemes to assist clients in understanding the cost versus benefit implications thereof;
    • Performing various wage gap analysis to assist clients with their fair pay analysis
    • Assistance with the so-called single figure remuneration reporting;
    • An awareness of topical issues surrounding executive reward, both globally and locally, and the preparation of communication material to remuneration committees regarding this information, as well as providing ongoing advice;
    • Managing client relationships (under the supervision of more senior staff);
    • Project managing client engagements;
    • Responsibility for risk management procedures and managing costs/fees;
