Job Description

• Paarden Eiland is currently seeking to appoint a Senior Mailroom Operator with experience in a printing environment, to ensure sound operation of all mailroom machinery, correct inserting of inserts, bundle make-ups and consistent delivery of world-class quality products on time and in full.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Effective execution of all job cards as set out by the Supervisor
• Ensure that the mailroom equipment is setup to produce maximum quality bundles and as per set SOP (e.g MSD/ENT/ROS/JEFF/LAT/WIND-UNWIND/MTD/MTS/SHRINK TUNNELS)
• Ensure optimal use of resources at maximum efficiency levels in a safe working environment
• Responsible for the entire production line, ensuring the correct inserting of inserts
• Responsible for operator repairs & settings e.g. MSD plate settings, ROS & LAT timing, replacing broken gripper, resetting MTS Fork Loop Paddles (Flaps)
• Ensure labelling, packaging and palletizing is of a world class standard
• Assist in building a highly skilled and motivated team
• Ensure good housekeeping standards are maintained
• Adherence to safety procedures and operational maintenance

Educational Requirements

• Matric or equivalent

Experience Requirements

• 2-3years’ experience within a similar position
• Knowledge of MIS, Shopware, Insert Module Advantageous

Job Description

• Novus Print seeks to appoint a customer focused Sales Representative to actively grow our business within the print packaging and labels product lines, as well as maintain business relationships with existing clients. The incumbent will be based at Montague Gardens and report to the General manager: Labels product and business development.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Responsibilities include, but not limited to, the following:

• Achieve sales budget for the product categories.
• Actively source new clients, building new client relationships.
• Service and retain existing clients and develop strong business relationships with decision makers and influencers.
• Preparing weekly and monthly sales reports.
• Close deals and oversee the execution of the contracts.
• Display an understanding of the sales process and ensure its implementation.
• Create and be accountable for all client proposals, presentations, and any other documentation.
• Identify and qualify new business opportunities across the Novus Print national footprint in a consultative manner.

Educational Requirements

• Degree or diploma in Sales and Marketing or related tertiary qualification will be advantageous. 

Experience Requirements

• At least five years’ field sales experience.
• Previous work experience within the print and packaging industry is essential.
• Driver’s license and own reliable vehicle.
• National travel is required.

Job Description

• Novus Print Montague Gardens is seeking to appoint a Production Manager that will play a critical role in overseeing and managing the production process to ensure optimal efficiency and productivity. In this role you will be responsible for ensuring that production targets are met and implementing process improvements to increase efficiency and to reduce costs. You will lead and manage a team of production managers and provide guidance and support to ensure the smooth running of operations.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Efficient workflow planning to ensure deadlines and set targets are met by ensuring efficient utilization of machinery to ensure high productivity, minimum downtime and managing risk.
• Managing production costs in line with budgets.
• Giving overall leadership and direction to all production departments and teamsby motivating and optimizing performance, as well as expansion and  improvement projects.
• Giving input to the production Capex and Opex budgets.
• Overseeing all interdepartmental and client relationships, employee morale,
• performance and skills development

Educational Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, manufacturing, or a related field

Experience Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in production management within the printing environment.
• Experience and knowledge of financial management and interpretation of financial statements.
• A strong Sheetfed background (print, folding and binding) will be advantageous.
