    Head of Security - (PA 1317)

    Job Description and Responsibilities

    • Work with other executives to prioritize security initiatives and spending based on appropriate risk management and/or financial methodology.
    • Crisis Management, the Head of Security has the responsibility as the crisis team officer and hence participate and contribute as a key member of the Crisis Management Organisation to coordinate in the event of any security disaster/emergency.                  
    • Work with external consultants as appropriate for independent security audits.
    • Produce weekly feedback report on approved format document for VWAG Group Security.            
    • Approve all security and fire detection/protection fittings and devices recommended by Planning Department for new projects.
    • Participate in planning meetings related to projects with a security and fire protection bias.
    • Assess security requirements for CAPEX and submit accordingly.
    • Verify and approve the Transport (Taxi) invoices. Evaluate utilisation and amend transport requirements accordingly, in negotiation with the Union(NUMSA)
    • Develop and sustain relationships with high-level law enforcement and security organizations and private sector counterparts to ensure a complete understanding of the security environment in the country.
    • Approve all procedures relating to the process of stolen Company vehicle recoveries and identification, on a countrywide scale.
    • Identify protection goals, objectives (MBO’s) and metrics consistent with corporate strategic plan.
    • Oversee incident response planning including the investigation of security breaches, and assist with disciplinary and legal matters associated with such breaches as necessary

    Education and Experience

    • Tertiary (Degree/Diploma) qualification in Security Risk Management, with focus on Business Management
    • 10 years minimum experience in the Security industry of which 5 years should be in a management role.
    • Comprehensive security experience in various security areas e.g. crisis management, investigations, operational security, international security exposure, etc. 
    • Experience with security auditing, security risk management, as well as contract and vendor negotiation.

    Project Engineer (Body Shop Planning) PA 1443

    Job Description and Responsibilities

    • Plan, co-ordinate or conduct FMEA’s and Simulation as part of concept establishment. Evaluate and obtain an agreement on the proposed solutions to secure optimal production processes.
    • Create facility layouts in Micro Station (HLS), compare product data and view facility designs in Catia V5 and create process plans as well as costing in Tecnomatix Process Designer & Process Simulate.
    • Formulate, supervise and control Project Timing plans with the aid of MS-Project or any other suitable software to ensure that activities required for achieving project scope and objectives are completed in time and reports are completed and distributed to all relevant stake holders.
    • Formulate and compile detailed product specifications to ensure proper implementation of entire process for required: facilities, machines, equipment, tools, automation and services.
    • Ensure and direct the approval of funds for purchasing of required facilities, machines, equipment, tools or services by compiling, issuing and monitoring the appropriation process to Finance.
    • Conduct and co-ordinate trails during VFF, PVS, and O-Series build and implement corrective actions to ensure production readiness for Start of Production and Series build.
    • Co-ordinate training for Production and Maintenance personnel during VFF, PVS and O-Series on the correct use of the equipment and facilities.
    • Supervising trials, commissioning and measuring (dimensional) of new facilities in order to ensure production process is ergonomic and capable of producing the required quality and consistency.
    • Organize and monitor the installation of air, water, gas and electrical services to support the processes when issuing a General Service Request (GSR) to Central Plant Engineering.
    • Examine, analyze and asses Engineering Change Requests (ECR’s) as issued in AVON/TEVON and provide reports on the feasibility and investment requirements to introduce the ECR.

    Education and Experience

    • B Eng. in Mechatronics
    • At least 0-3 years relevant Project Planning Experience

    Project Engineer– Architectural - 1422

    Job Description and Responsibilities

    • Preparing investment studies including timing, layouts, concepts and options for new facilities.
    • Ensuring PEP timing and milestones are met, develop specification for new facilities.
    • Implementing projects i.e. site establishment, construction/installation, change point management, co-ordination of stakeholders during construction, commissioning, keeping to timing schedules.
    • Managing project scope, schedule/programs and costs.
    • Ensuring that the supplier provides updated layouts and documentation for facility (operating manuals, maintenance manuals, drawings etc.)

    • Tracking and resolving project, design and construction site issues.
    • Leading and supervising of construction contracts, contractors on site and variations to orders.
    • Managing project communication with clients, end users and stakeholders.
    • Conducting technical and contractual meetings.

    Education and Experience

    • National Diploma in Architectural Technology

    Electronic Product Engineer - PA 1416

    Job Description and Responsibilities

    • Supporting Production and respective Cross Functional Teams (CFT) in resolving Electrical related failures through the Shop Floor Management (SFM) forums.
    • Definition, coordination and implementation of corrective actions to reduce Electrical Flow-out and the impact on the CP6 Direct Run rate (DRR).
    • Review action progress, standardisation over shifts and the results thereof.
    • To advise production and quality departments on product and process deviations, improvements to be implemented and monitored.
    • Monitoring CP6 and End-of-Line quality results, analysing audit results and implementing sustainable containment and corrective actions ensuring actions that are implemented result in process stability, standard outputs and continuous improvements of processes and product quality.
    • Establishment and coordination of the implementation of action plans with cross functional/departmental teams for product and process improvements.
    • Continuously reducing internal and external faults by designing robust processes that provide consistent outputs.

    Education and Experience

    • National Diploma or higher in Electrical Engineering (excluding heavy current) or Bachelor in mechatronics.
    • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in vehicle manufacturing or related field with key focus being vehicle electronics.
    • Be experienced in and have extensive knowledge of the vehicle production process and the impact of the Product on the various processes.
    • Experienced in vehicle build processes, specific to Assembly, which entails various part supplies, part fitment, electrical components and harness routings.

    Audi Flying Technician - PA 1423

    Job Description and Responsibilities

    • Plan, prepare and do technical Dealer analysis
    • Flying nationally to repair complex problems to the correct safety and quality standards on vehicles at Audi Dealers.
    • Performing root-cause analysis of complex vehicle problems and providing assistance in developing Dealer training content and material to address shortcomings.
    • Planning and preparing Dealer analysis, identifying weak areas in the Audi Dealer Network on Technical issues and non-conformance to the Audi Service Core Process.
    • Ensuring the most economic method of diagnosis and repair is available to the Audi Dealer Network.

    • Liaising between Audi SA, VW Group Technical Support Centre and Audi AG.
    • Establish a working relationship with Technical Support Centre and Customer interaction Centre.
    • Implement a process of identifying weak Dealers based on the information from TSC and CIC. Agree on the Dealers that need attention with TSC and CIC.
    • Implement regular scheduled meetings with TSC / CIC to follow up on actions taken and agree on next actions.
    • Together with TSC / CIC plan for and ensure that high profile customer cases are given priority.
    • Providing support with the preparation of new model launch vehicles.
    • Providing support with reference to the Repeat Repair reduction programme.
    • Reporting to Audi AG / Audi SA Management.
    • Implement systems of reporting to Audi AG / Audi SA Management on Dealer Network progress and status on actions conducted by the Flying Technician.
    • Integrate the Regional After-Sales Manager in the Dealer visits to ensure that action plans are properly implemented and monitored.

    Education and Experience

    • B.Sc. Electronics or equivalent 3-year tertiary qualification from a recognised tertiary institution.
    • Minimum of 3 years post-graduate experience related to mechanical and electrical fault finding and development of technical, solutions.
    • Previous experience in dealing with automotive product support issues of a technical nature.

    Audi Dealer Sales Analyst (Temp) - PA 1445

    Job Description and Responsibilities

    Dealer Targets/Sales

    • Calculation, analysis and control of national dealer targets to ensure equity and consistency with national forecast.
    • Establishment of Regional potential with regard to Targets and Sales in order to maintain consistency between regions and maximise Dealer performance.
    • Achievement of Regional Manager and Used Car Manager buy-in and agreement of Regional/Dealer Targets.

     Dealer Performance

    • Monitoring national dealer performance to target – monthly and year-to-date to highlight any out of line performance to Regional Sales Managers.
    • Assisting Audi National Sales Manager and Regional Sales Managers with dealer franchise area sales analysis/trends.
    • Assisting Audi Pre-Owned Manager with dealer performance to target analysis and marketing intelligence.
    • Assessment of consistently under-performing Dealers and together with Regional Manager make recommendations regarding Targets and Allocation to the National Sales Manager.

    Dealer Allocations & Ordering

    • Determine first sight Regional and Dealer Allocation splits and obtain agreement from Regional Sales Managers.
    • Liaise with Corporate Sales Department regarding volume deals pending in the forward period.  Cognisance of this to be part of Dealer Allocation process.
    • Liaison with Sales Planning and Franchise Operations Departments to ensure that all investment allocation offers are made prior to issuing Dealer Allocations.

    Dealer Incentives

    • Developing dealer sales incentive program proposals when needed.
    • Analysing dealer performance on approved dealer incentive programs.
    • Compiling summary reports of dealer incentives to Finance for payment and audit.

    Sales Environment

    • Analysing national dealer sales trends – Audi and competitors.
    • Providing marketing intelligence reports to Regional Sales Managers and Pre-Owned Manager.

    Dealer Forecasts

    • Providing dealer sales forecast input to monthly national forecast meeting.
    • Co-ordinating weekly dealer sales forecast reports from Regional Sales Managers and producing national report for weekly Marketing Division Ops meetings with MOM reports.
    • Establishment of core reasons/agreements/rationale explaining changes in weekly forecasts and month-to-month movements

    Education and Experience

    • A recognised 3-year National Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Marketing / Sales / Finance / Commerce / Business Science
    • Advanced proficiency in computer systems/ MS Excel spreadsheets
    • Previous retail / field sales experience would be advantageous.
    • Minimum of 3 years motor industry experience, ideally within some of the following fields:
    • Volume Planning
    • Dealer sales
    • Franchise operations
