Job Objectives and Functions

Stock Movements

• Required to move stock between different areas

Racking and off racking of garments

• Required to rack garments on the auto printing machine and off-racking it once branding is completed
• Required to place the printed garment in the tunnel and making sure it cures properly

Unpacking and packing stock

• Required to unpack stock and check the correctness and the quality of the product according to the job card
• Required to pack branded stock after conducting a QC check and confirming that it the branded item is an accurate reflection of the job card instructions

Cleaning Garments

• Required to clean threading and backing from embroidered garments by using small embroidery scissors

Cutting material

• Required to cut material according to templates by using the cutting machine

Housekeeping

• Maintain equipment and work areas
• Ensure that factory floor is kept clean at all times

Job Objectives and Functions

Creating Artwork Visuals 

• Develop artwork visuals and communicate to relevant sales/clients regarding limitations, to obtain layout approvals.
• Make amendments based on customer feedback.

Colour Conversion

• Apply the correct pantone colours as per customer specifications.

Print File 

• Setup print ready files in line with products.
• Produce print files to scale.
• Print files to match approved layouts.

Quality Checking

• Quality check print files against the supplied artworks and approved layout to ensure there’s no errors

Qualifications

• NQF 6 in Graphic and Multimedia Designer

Experience 

• 4-5 years in Branding Processes
• Experience in the signage or printing industry.

Skills 

• Adobe illustrator
• Corel Draw

Job Objectives and Functions

• Read Layout and instructions and notes to comprehend the product
• Review Swatch and samples and verify if it is branded according to job card specifications using the correct measuring tools (Checks: Correct colors, logo size, logo position, spelling, quality of print.)
• Use printing guidelines to perform complex testing procedures (examples: screen wash test, dye migration test)
• Maintain records of testing, information, and various metrics such as number of defective products per day and record operator performance
• Inspect procedures of the entire production cycle to ensure they are being adhere.
• Escalate to floor manager in case of discrepancy

Quality inspection of branded goods  

• Conduct in process checks on branded items as production is running. Escalate quality issues to QC supervisor.
• Ensure that all items are tested as per the sample size.
• All VIP orders must be 100% Quality checked.
• All Orders with items equal to or less than 50 units must be 100% checked. All items with items more than 50 units must be 50% checked.

Improvement

• Coordinate improvement initiatives.
• Ensure that all Improvement initiatives communicated by the quality supervisor are implemented.
• Prepare and submit reports to the quality Supervisor

Qualifications 

• NQF 6 in Quality Management
