    Discipline BIM Lead - Electrical

    Team Role and Responsibilities:

    • Look after the development and growth of the SA Electrical Specialised Modelling team. (From here on referred to as ‘the Team’).
    • Lead the Team, determining project load for each member and assigning projects based on their specific skills. (Choose the right modeller for the job.)
    • Utilize BIM modelling to develop plans, details, elevations, and sections, to accurately convey design documentation to the required LOD of the project to the project team.
    • Securing EC work for the Team.
    • Forecasting utilization of the Team to business line management.
    • Ensure the Team is up to date with the latest BIM standards and best practices.
    • Ensuring staff have timeous access to the tools and equipment they need.
    • Provide the necessary training and guidance to the Team and assist in the development of integration and development plans.
    • Implementing quality assurance and control of the Teams work.
    • Optimize workflows and resource assignment for efficient operation.
    • Perform annual P&R assessments on the Team.
    • Undertake all HR managerial requirements for the Team as are required from time to time.
    • Supporting the career development, coaching and mentoring of the Team.
    • Overseeing Manhour budgets and reporting to the project managers / interfaces.
    • Recruiting of resources for the Team including as required, including job descriptions, screening, interviewing and employee onboarding.

    Personal Roles and Responsibilities:

    • Utilize at least 50% of your time contributing to the designs of billable projects.
    • Keep up to date on electrical codes and standards and related design software applications.
    • Evaluate and research new BIM related software and technologies, while seeking out new training opportunities and moving team forward into implementing Revit MEP as a standard for modelling.
    • Develop and communicate lean processes to deliver effective and efficient projects for to the agreed LOD of the project.
    • Ensuring that BIM execution plans are implemented for each project.
    • Leading meetings to identify project tasks and resolve issues.
    • Identifying and together with the Electrical BIM Coordinator, developing MEP REVIT Content including new Family and customisation of existing Family content.
    • Typical scopes of work undertaken by the Team:
    • Modelling of Electrical ICT and Instrumentation Installations in REVIT, and other software modelling packages as determined by the requirements of the client.
    • Detailed Electrical Drafting / Modelling of LV and MV including the development and checking of :
    • Load Lists
    • Single Line Diagrams
    • Network Diagrams
    • Electrical Schematic Diagrams
    • Modelling of Electrical and ICT installation requirements.
    • Hazardous Areas
    • Cable Routing
    • Cable Sizing
    • Lighting modelling and layouts.
    • Small power Layouts
    • Earthing system details and layouts.

    Qualifications;

    • 7+ years working experience.
    • Proficient in REVIT MEP
    • Revit Certification.
    • AutoCAD
    • Autodesk REVIT Advanced preferential

    Associate - Hydrogeologist

    Responsibilities:

    • Makes recommendations on work methods and procedures and technical innovations by devising practical and economical solutions to problems in own discipline.
    • Makes recommendations on research requests, objectives, priorities, and timing.
    • Assess need for change and recommends development of standards.
    • Assess work against standards, objectives and specifications.
    • Utilizes advanced scientific principles, theories, practices and existing technologies when working on unusually complex technical problems.
    • Interprets and records data, conducts analyses, compares findings to relevant studies and local, state, and federal regulations to ensure compliance.
    • Develops solutions which are highly innovative. Assignments are often self-initiated.
    • Acts as advisor to management and clients. Oversees the work of less experienced scientists.
    • Posses multi-disciplinary knowledge.

    Qualifications:

    Minimum Requirements:

    • BA/BS + 8 Years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Analytical and numerical groundwater flow and solute transport modeling background.
    • The right candidate will possess a strong groundwater modeling experience and have a background of leading hydrogeologic investigations at large complex sites demonstrating history in the development of remedial strategies and closure, including statistical analysis of hydrogeologic data, well-field design, installations, contaminant fate and transport analyses,
    • Groundwater modeling using MODFLOW, MODFLOW-USG, FEFLOW, PEST, MT3D, RT3D, and MODPATH (SEAWAT and FEFLOW desired but not necessary), LNAPL modeling;
    • Decision tree development and preparation of feasibility studies and remedial action plans.

    Senior Engineer - Electrical

    Job Description:

    • The Senior Engineer delivers discipline involvement in projects and ensures effective delivery input of others.
    • Works on detailed or routine engineering assignments involving calculations, drawings and reports etc.
    • The role includes design development, design review, supervision, coordination and design documentation.
    • Guides junior engineers and independently performs all the tasks necessary to complete design works.

    Technical Excellence;

    • Facilitates over and coordinate small - mid-size project teams of discipline-led engineers.
    • Performs specific and moderate portions of a broader assignment as an experienced engineer.
    • Provides specialised technical input into studies and design work for the expertise and identifies discrepancies in results.
    • Follows existing or develops design procedures to facilitate high-quality, cost-effective work by self and others.
    • Participates in and creates an interdisciplinary review of project deliverables, including BIM spatial reviews (virtual walkthroughs and clash detection).
    • Has knowledge of construction costs relating to their specific areas of design.
    • Gathers and correlates engineering data using established and well-defined procedures.
    • Prepares technical specifications.
    • Performs work under the agreed-upon budget and schedule with little supervision—technical coordination with authorities for approvals.
    • Solves problems encountered using knowledge, innovation and modifications of standard procedures or methods developed in previous works.
    • Contributes to the area of expertise, providing proposed improvements to existing processes and delivers solutions where precedent may not exist.
    • Performs technical quality reviews of design calculations, BIM models and drawings, including documentation in project record by adhering to quality, occupational health and safety and corporate standards. Maintains and develops the highest level of technical skills and abilities
    • Mentoring of junior staff

    Client Relationship Management:

    • Begins to build and maintain client relationships.
    • Attends client meetings as technical support to gather information and discuss project requirements, explain/ defend work, etc.
    • Participates in the development and preparation of bids and proposals—the ability to present solutions to clients in a professional and technically competent manner.

    Qualifications;

    • 8+ Years' experience within the built environment after obtainment of Qualification
    • Bachelor of Science or Engineering from an accredited University
    • Master of Science or Engineering preferred
    • Professionally registered as an Engineer with ECSA

    Facility Maintenance Technician II

    Job Description

    • Under minimal supervision, completes tasks that are frequently non-routine.  
    • Resolves most problems and refers only the most complex issues to higher levels.  
    • Conducts preventative maintenance inspections and performs required preventative maintenance actions such as lubrication, cleaning, filter changes, etc. 
    • Utilizes a wide variety of hand and portable power tools.  
    • May install minor modifications when needed.  
    • May periodically assist in orienting and training lower level employees.

    Qualifications;

    • 5 years' experience with proven experience as maintenance technician
    • Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods
    • Working knowledge of tools, common appliances and devices
    • Manual dexterity and problem-solving skills
    • High school diploma or equivalent.
