• Establishing of general sound working relationships

Minimum Requirements

• 2 -3 years’ experience in Ammonia plant refrigeration
• N3 qualification
• Valid Refrigeration Trade Test & Cat B Ammonia Refrigeration Certificate
• Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing ammonia refrigeration equipment, including compressors, evaporators, condensers, and control systems.
• Strong commitment to safety and environmental regulations.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Responsible for all refrigeration, chill water and air issues at site
• Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on ammonia refrigeration equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and control system issues in refrigeration units.
• Perform system startups, shutdowns, and defrost cycles as needed.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment performance, and inventory.
• Do preventative maintenance schedules
• Collaborate with the engineering and production teams to optimize refrigeration processes and improve energy efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, including handling ammonia refrigerants safely.
• Participate in emergency response and evacuation procedures.
• Ensure safety equipment are in good and functional condition
• Leading subordinates (assistants) on new projects, train and mentor junior technicians as needed.
• Daily/weekly inspections in designated area’s
• Evaluate equipment performance
