What you do as a Senior Civil Eng: Water Bulk conveyance

• Detail design of pressurised pipelines and pumpstations for conveyance and distribution of raw, potable, and wastewater
• Firefighting water network and pumpstation design for critical infrastructure such as datacenters, airports, warehouses etc.
• Water hammer and surge analysis and mitigation measure design using software such as KYPipe and OpenFlow HAMMER
• Preparation of detailed design reports, concept design and proposal preparation
• Leading and coordinating multi-disciplinary design teams on complex projects ensuring tasks are distributed to team members and ensuring quality of deliverables by apply Information management principals.
• Detailed design review and approval of project deliverables using digital workflows and processes this includes 3D models drawings, reports, BOQs, specifications, etc.
• Using company standard collaboration and coordination tools in line with our Digital Ways of Working.
• Proactively liaising with project manager and client's representative managing expectations and communicating alternatives, deviations and issues encountered during design
• Provide guidance to junior engineers and technicians on engineering design and software usage.

What you bring

Qualifications and Experience

• B.Eng/B.Sc. Civil Engineering with 12+ years in the relevant field
• Professional registration with ECSA (Pr.Eng) Essential.
• M.Sc – Would be advantageous.
• Proof of training and implementation of ISO19650 standards
• Minimum experience, knowledge & skills
• Computational design thinking
• Good understanding outputs from hydraulic and surge analyses and design and optimise networks based on outputs.
• Ability to work with and apply a wide variety of codes and standards and compile and review project specifications.
• Experience with Large diameter pressure pipelines design will be advantageous.
• Leading multi-disciplinary teams on water projects and briefing team members on scope of work and overseeing coordination of design using ISO19650 standards.
• Pumpstation design for water distribution as well as treatment and processing plant internal pumpstations.
• BIM implementation – Creating/using BEPs, MIDP and TIDPs with applying CDE principals.

Experience in the following software and applications:

• Advanced experience with hydraulic analysis software doing extended period analysis
• Working knowledge of EPANET and EPASWMM as the backbone of analysis software packages
• Advanced experience with using surge analysis software such as KYPipe an OpenFlows, HAMMER
• Working knowledge of Revit and Civil 3D.
• Experience in using Devotech iDAS will be advantageous
• Using tools such as BIM360, Revizto, and Asite for design coordination and review
• Competence in using PowerBI or similar packages is advantageous.
• Scripting, workflow automation and programming is advantageous.

What Will You Do

• Engineering design of hydraulic infrastructure including bulk pipeline and pipe network design, sewer and stormwater network design, water and wastewater treatment plant hydraulic design with guidance and inputs from senior engineer
• Representing the civil design team and leading the coordination efforts on multi-disciplinary projects
• 3D modelling and coordination of infrastructure
• Preparing design deliverables including design reports, models, BOQs, drawings etc.
• Work closely with multiple disciplines ensuring integration of systems and spatial coordination is achieved
• Using company standard collaboration and coordination tools such as BIM360, Revizto, and Asite
• Working on international projects and getting to know and applying the relevant country and project specific standards
• Provide guidance to graduate engineers and technicians on engineering design and software usage
• Automation of daily workflows are welcomed and encouraged.

What You Bring

Qualifications and Experience:

• Eng/B.Sc. Civil Engineering with 4 to 7 years in the relevant field
• Professional registration with ECSA (PrEng).
• Proof of training and implementation of ISO19650 standards preferred.
• Computational design thinking
• Experience with pipeline and pipe network modelling, analysis, and design for pressure and gravity networks
• Experience with open channel hydraulics design for water and wastewater treatment plant design
• Basic understanding of Process Flow Diagrams and Process and Instrumentation Diagrams

• Using BIM360, ACC or similar as a collaboration platform
• Workflow automation experience with software such as Dynamo or/and scripting using C#,Python or other programing language.

What you do as a Senior Civil Eng: Waste Water Treatment

• Detail design of gravity sewerage networks, trunk outfall sewers, pressurised pipelines and pumpstations for conveyance and distribution of wastewater.
• The detailed design of waste-water treatment works, with a comprehensive understanding of wastewater and sludge treatment processes.
• Preparation of detailed concept and detail design reports.
• Proposal preparation, including drafting of technical methodologies and/or approach papers.
• Undertaking (pre- and detailed-) feasibility studies, applying technical and financial criteria and drafting feasibility study reports.
