    Supply Chain Specialist - Midrand

    The successful incumbent will be responsible for managing the demand forecast and planning process for the South and Southern Africa Cluster. The incumbent will manage average and point-in-time inventory and tracking of inbound an outbound shipping. Duties will include the following:

    • Manage logistics service providers, contractors, and internal stakeholders
    • Manage the coordination and implementation for medium to long term supply chain solutions within South and Southern Africa
    • Ensure supply chain compliance alignment according to BASF Group guidelines, policies, and procedures
    • Manage the demand forecast and planning process for South and Southern Africa Cluster
    • Accountable for full year forecast of all relevant materials for AP, aligned to needs of the market and uploading of forecast into Integrated Business Planning (IBP) tool
    • Analyse and challenge bottom-up demand planning from sales
    • Maintaining article numbers in SAP and IBPManage half-year and year-end stock takes
    • Ensure inventory adjustments and stock variance at 3rd party warehouses are processed timeously
    • Relabeling of products for South and Southern Africa, sourcing the labels and packaging material, communicating with all relevant stakeholders in Procurement and 3rd Party Warehousing service provide
    • Tracking of vessels and updating all stakeholders on the ETA
    • Managing inbound stock from a POA (port of arrival) point of viewManaging stock transfers from Johannesburg, Durban, and Paarl warehouse
    • Reconciliation and follow-up of the inbound open purchase order (PO) report
    • PR/PO creation, goods receipts requests, submissions of invoices to ICEbox for local & foreign logistics vendors for ordering stock
    • Processing of warehouse invoices from 3rd Party service provider
    • Investigate, follow up and closing of supply and production Non – Conformance Management (NCM)
    • Acting as business partner and assist divisional units regarding ad hoc analyses, providing background explanation and possible leverages.Identify efficiency in processes / system enhancement
    • Ensure that deadlines are met, and that quality information is delivered; and presented in a comprehensive way

    What we expect

    • A Tertiary qualification in Supply Chain Management
    • Minimum 5 years experience in similar roleSAP and Microsoft excel experience
    • Experience in demand planning, supply chain and inventory management
    • Good proficiency and ability to communicate and build creditability with internal functions
    • A commercial mindset

    Key Account Manager - North West Region - Midrand

    The successful incumbent will be responsible for to increase indirect sales (POG) to selected farming key accounts within South Africa. Duties will include the following:

    • End to end process management from needs analysis, forecasting, planning, technical advice as well as the management of key stakeholder relationships relating to the relevant farmer key accounts
    • Aligning activities to the regional sales team in which area they operates
    • Manage sales to key accounts, including identifying new/potential key accounts
    • Manage farmer key account buying process in conjunction with commercial manager and national sales manager
    • Establish and maintain strong relationships with farmer key accounts, regional sales teams, and management structures
    • Ensuring BASF products are included in tender/material requests
    • Develop proposals for strategic product positioning in the region, optimizing marketing materials, and defining advertising programs in line with area strategy
    • Optimise marketing material in crop protection and define advertising program in line with area strategy in partnership with the marketing department
    • Provide technical support to agents and key accounts during sales events
    • Offer recommendations on BASF products and spray programs
    • Accurately forecast monthly and annual sales, aligning with key account buying patterns, while managing the expense budget effectively
    • Communicate crop team decision and implement with customer’s management and agents
    • Strategic alignment with regional sales teams and management of relationship with key regional distributors and agents

    What we expect

    • A bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Sale or marketing
    • Minimum 5 years sales experience in the agricultural chemical
    • Advanced knowledge of crop production specific to the North western and Central region in South Africa
    • Experience and knowledge of row crops
    • Proven record of client relationship management
    • Good command of the Afrikaans language
    • High level of Microsoft Office, Excel, Power point
