Key performance areas
Culture planning
- In conjunction with the Head of School, plan and set up the rehearsal and performance schedule for the year, and per term.
- Create and manage communications to parents regarding the program for the specific cultural activity.
- Arrangement of transportation to schools for the cultural activity where required.
- Create and manage the process of indemnity and permission slips for all events.
- Provide input and recommendations for culture awards.
- Drive excellence in the cultural activity being coached.
Culture Coaching
- Coaching in own culture discipline.
- Mentor learners in proper participation etiquette and rules.
- Oversee the culture activity from a health and safety perspective.
- Select learners for specific roles/participation where applicable
- Participate in talent identification and skills development.
Events and tours
- Attend relevant tours, camps and events.
- Take register of learners attending rehearsals and performances.
- Coordinate return slips to confirm attendance of participation at events.
- Coordinate events including managing the schedule, making announcements and making sure the programme runs according to plan.
Qualifications, experience and skills
- A specific qualification or extensive applicable experience in the cultural activity that will be coached.
- Diploma or Degree in the Performing Arts.
- Experience in high level coaching and participation in regional or national events as coach.
- SACE certification is recommended
- Successfully acting as a culture coach in a similar environment for a minimum of 3 years.
- Acting as a coach for 5 years with proven results on regional and/or national level.
