    QA Competency Lead

    What will you do?

    • The QA Competency Lead is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining Glacier’s test automation framework and to provide support to all IT Development teams. The QA Competency Lead will provide for enough automation coverage that will guarantee comprehensive regression testing and quality.

    Key Outcomes

    The following outcomes will be expected to be achieved by the QA Competency Lead:

    • Create and run automation scripts
    • Collaborate the Lead testers / Test analysts / Devs / Architects to ensure sufficient automated regression testing coverage
    • Investigate defects and log defects (where required)
    • Responsible for distributing Automation reports on a regular basis
    • Keeping libraries and services up to date
    • Mapping of controls and adding it to application code
    • Support IT Development teams to deliver on their sprint testing goals
    • Joint responsibility with Test analysts of maintaining automation datasheets
    • Serve as the test automation subject matter expert 
    • Optimize automation scripts to ensure maintainable code
    • Ensure stability of the automation framework and environment
    • Recommend and initiate enhancements to the current automation framework to ensure relevance
    • Provide input to the automation strategy to ensure increasing value-add within the functional testing process
    • Mentor and guide junior automation engineers

    Qualifications and experience

    • Relevant IT qualification
    • 4+ years experience in automation scripting and automation tools
    • 5+ years Functional testing experience 
    • Knowledge and experience in Selenium, SpecFlow, Visual Studio, Appium, Desktop Automation 
    • Experience in Back-end development, using C# and JavaScript
    • Building Automation Frameworks e.g. BDD, AzureDevOps CI/CD, API Testing, WCF services etc
    • Experience in Front-end development, using HTML5, WPF or any other popular JavaScript libraries

    Knowledge and experience of the following processes and methodologies:

    • SDLC and Testing Life Cycle
    • Scrum Methodology
    • Prior experience in the financial services industry would be preferred

    Lead Generator

    What will you do?

    • Under direct supervision, the Lead Generator is responsible for converting third-party sourced leads (from multiple lead providers/aggregators) into qualified quotes and closed policies for short-term insurance (e.g., car, household, personal lines), Educate customers at a high level on MiWay Insurance products and benefits (non‑advisory).Provides quality service to external and internal customers by ensuring accuracy in recording of data.
    • This role manages the end-to-end lead lifecycle: from intake and validation, first contact and needs discovery, through to quoting, objection handling, and bind—while ensuring regulatory compliance (FAIS, POPIA, TCF) and exceptional customer experience.

    Estates Administrator

    Purpose of the Role

    • The Estates Administrator is responsible for the efficient and accurate administration of deceased estates from initial reporting through to finalisation, ensuring compliance with applicable legislation and regulatory requirements.
    • The role supports the effective winding up of estates by coordinating documentation, engaging with beneficiaries and relevant stakeholders, monitoring the progress of each estate, and ensuring that all administrative requirements are completed accurately and timeously.

    What will you do?

    • Use relevant processes and system tools to capture analysis information and update records accordingly.
    • Review clients portfolio annually by undertaking the above steps.

    • Ensure all client interactions are ethical, courteous and professional.
    • Follow-up or refer all existing business queries to be resolved timeously through support.
    • Strive for excellent, value-added service to clients so that they do not seek competitor products or services.

    Monitor, update and reporting (weekly/monthly)

    Qualification and Experience

    • Grade 12
    • Financial Advisory and Intermediary Services Act (FAIS) "Fit and Proper" requirements and Regulatory Examination successfully completed if registered with Financial Sector Conduct Authority (FSCA) for more than 24 months.
