    Supply Chain Analyst

    Purpose of the job

    • Be a first-class business partner for the Site Production teams by generating and collating financial data, ensure integrity of financial data. Identify and access performance and risks and take or recommend business decisions and actions for the relevant business unit [PP&l, Cellars and Packaging] to assist and enable fact-based decision making and product and operating cost management.
    • Be the guardian of HEINEKEN assets and reputation through improved financial controls, managed financial risks and clear & transparent information on business performance.

    Key responsibilities

    • Be a co-pilot to Site Production teams in decision making through solicited and unsolicited advice based on financial analysis and in-depth knowledge of business operations.
    • Support the business planning cycle of the Site (Strategic Plan, Annual Plan and Latest Estimates).
    • Prepare and critically analyse monthly results and deliver timely management reports which include commentaries, KPIs, graphs, internal/external insights and/or benchmarks.
    • Manage and assess business unit performance against standards including: OEE, O/T, costing standards, Routing on SAP and recommend performance improvement or standards adjustment 
    • Analyse and report on weekly and monthly production order variances, provide early warnings on deviations, advise on corrective/mitigating actions; review loss trends; ensure that the production Bill of Materials are correct and up to date.
    • Ensure reliability & integrity of accounting records (accounts and cost centres) and financial information (P&L and balance sheet) through regular controls and financial awareness of functions.
    • Ensure short-term interval controls are effective. Continuously review site financial control processes and identify possible risk. Propose and implement solutions/controls to strengthen control environment and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
    • Perform monthly audits to ensure adherence to internal control principles and assist in stock verification as and when required.
    • Support business unit to ensure adherence to financial control policies (financial, IT and materials) and procedures and good corporate governance principles & practices. 
    • Adhere to Excise policies and procedures and ensure documentation and administration is suitably maintained.
    • Ensure adherence and provide necessary support to the capital expenditure process as well as ensuring validity and accuracy of the asset register.
    • Involved in stock management and assist with stock takes, identification of slow moving and obsolete stock. Escalate to management team any stock risks.
    • Participate in cross site audits and stock takes.
    • Develop level 2 & 3 management financial competencies / capability in business unit.

    Maintenance Assistant

    • Applications are invited to apply for the above-mentioned position to be based at Sedibeng Brewery, Vereeninging. The successful applicant will report to the Maintenance Team Leader

    Key Performance Areas would include, but are not limited to:

    • General maintenance work and basic plumbing, carpentry, masonry and painting.
    • General civil and maintenance work on buildings.
    • Maintain effective housekeeping and safety practices;
    • Operating according to standard operating procedures
    • Active involvement in the mini business area
    • Assist Artisans with duties in Utilities. 
    • Perform routine inspections and report defects or potential risks
    • Assist with preventive and corrective maintenance tasks
    • Support breakdown maintenance and ensure timely resolution of issues
    • Handle tools and equipment responsibly and ensure proper storage
    • Identify and escalate safety hazards and non-compliance issues
    • Assist with installation and relocation of equipment when required
    • Maintain accurate records of work completed and report feedback to supervisors
    • Support sustainability initiatives (e.g., water and energy saving practices)
    • Work collaboratively with other departments to ensure smooth operations
    • Comply with all company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements

    The successful candidate must preferably have the following experience / skills:

    • Must have the knowledge and experience to use workshop tools and machinery i.e. drill press, drillingmachine, bench grinder, etc.;
    • Working experience within an FMCG environment will be advantageous;
    • Computer literacy;
    • Working knowledge of safety procedures and housekeeping standards;
    • Ability to cope with the inherent physical demands of the position and work under pressure;
    • Have reliable transport to and from work;
    • Must have a valid driver’s licence;
    • Must be able to work overtime / flexible hours as and/or when required.
    • Must be able to work on heights;
    • Must be innovative

    The successful candidate must preferably have the following qualification/s:

    • Minimum Grade 12
    • A relevant technical qualification will be advantageous
    • A valid forklift driver’s licence will be advantageous

    Market & Brand Insights Manager: Ciders & FABs

    Purpose of the role:

    • The Market & Brand Insight Manager will be a strategic advisor & custodian of market and consumer trends, insights and analytics which informs, inspires & provokes transformational action for growth.
    • The Market & Brand Insight Manager thus acts as a partner in providing strategic decision support and thought leadership to enable business growth for the categories and brands in their respective role.  The ideal candidate should have well-developed strategic thinking

    Driving a data and insight driven culture

    • Champions a data driven culture:  Identifying opportunities and risks within the broader business environment through well substantiated information which can be integrated into decision making and action plans
    • Drive our competitive insight advantage: by being close to and inspired by the market and consumers as well as able to act as a hub of information connecting various information sources to form “bigger picture” viewpoints and insights
    • Identify opportunities and risks within the brand portfolio, markets, consumers and shoppers; and use above-brand insights to drive strategic thinking forward at a macro level

    Translates research findings into meaningful insights, recommendations, and business implications to aid decision making and influence strategic direction

    • Provide direction and value-add: by building insights and implications onto brand research projects so as to inspire action through consumer orientation

    Lead brand health assessment and category consumption dynamics

    • Fit for purpose Brand Health measurement:  aligned with business and portfolio strategy, so enables measurement of progress on brand and category strategy
    • Monitoring of the brand plan KPIs: use key brand health metrics e.g brand power, and advise on course correction in terms of risk areas as well as opportunity areas
    • Global alignment on models and frameworks: Ensure the OpCo is kept up-date with new frameworks and embed understanding and usage

    Scan and synthesise global and local consumer and market trends for category and brand impact

    • Tapping into global and local trends: determining the category and brand impacts identified for action and forecasting of where the market may be moving
    • Drive utilisation of trend information: Identify actions and any deep dives relating to key local platforms

    Support to the ICP Process and delivery of performance & KPI dashboards

    • Support category/brand planning:  Working closely with the brand team to understand marketing mix dynamics (eg. pack, region, channel and key account) within brands and to ensure business decisions are data driven and drive the brand in the desired strategic direction
    • Performance and KPI measurement: compile regular business reporting deliverables in line with local and global requirements for performance and KPI measurement

    Education & Experience:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Economics, Business Analytics, Data Science, or a related field; advanced degree or specialization in market research is a plus.

    Irrigator

    Job Purpose of the Job

    • To operate tractors, irrigation systems, and related agricultural equipment safely and efficiently to support crop production, ensuring optimal yield, quality, and compliance with safety and environmental standards.

    Key Responsibilities

    Tractor & Equipment Operation

    • Operate tractors and farm machinery for planting, spraying, fertilising, harvesting, and field preparation
    • Transport materials, crops, and equipment across farm sites
    • Ensure safe and efficient use of all machinery in line with operating procedures
    • Maintain cleanliness and good housekeeping of assigned equipment

    Irrigation Management

    • Operate and monitor irrigation systems to ensure optimal water distribution
    • Adjust irrigation schedules based on crop and soil conditions
    • Inspect irrigation systems and identify leaks, faults, or inefficiencies
    • Perform basic maintenance and repairs on irrigation infrastructure

    Maintenance & Asset Care

    • Assist with basic repairs under supervision

    Health, Safety & Compliance

    Field & Crop Support

    • Assist with planting, cultivating, and harvesting activities

    Job Requirements: Experience, Skills and Qualifications

    • Relevant qualification (National Certificate or Matric)
    • 1-3 Years relevant experience in farming, irrigation, or machinery operation
    • Exposure to vineyard/agriculture environment advantageous
    • Ability to operate tractors and agricultural machinery
    • Basic mechanical knowledge of farm equipment
    • Understanding of irrigation systems and water management
    • Knowledge of health & safety practices
    • Valid driver’s license. Valid PDP will be an advantage.

    Senior Analytics Engineer

    • Design, build, and govern our enterprise gold data and semantic layer that serves as the single, validated, and trusted source of truth for analytics across the AME region.
    • The role bridges business and data engineering by translating business needs into reusable, standardised data models that enable self-service analytics and consistent KPI usage. This layer supports analytics teams, business users, and future GenAI-driven analytics solutions.

    Key Requirements 

    • Design, build, and maintain our analytics gold data layer in Databricks, ensuring business-aligned, scalable, and reusable datasets
    • Develop and govern the semantic layer (e.g. Databricks Unity Catalog Metric Views, Power BI semantic models) as the single source of truth for analytics consumption
    • Define and standardise business KPIs and metric definitions, facilitating alignment across stakeholders and OpCos to eliminate inconsistencies
    • Enforce strong data governance, modelling standards, naming conventions, and data quality controls, including testing, validation, and documentation of datasets
    • Partner with data engineering to ensure upstream data is structured, reliable, and fit-for-purpose for downstream analytics consumption
    • Design and govern interfaces for downstream consumption, ensuring analytics, BI, and data science outputs are consistently structured and business-readable
    • Enable scalable self-service analytics, providing datasets that are intuitive, well-structured, and optimised for business users and analytics teams
    • Prevent fragmentation by driving adoption of a single, governed gold layer, reducing duplication and shadow datasets across teams
    • Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to understand data needs, KPIs, and analytical use cases, translating these into reusable data models
    • Continuously improve the semantic layer to support advanced analytics and conversational interfaces, including preparing models that are machine-consumable for GenAI and natural language usage
    • Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimise performance, data quality, and reliability across the gold and semantic layers
      Contribute to defining and evolving analytics engineering standards, best practices, and ways of working within the BI chapter

    Education and Experience 

    Qualifications

    • Graduate degree or formal qualification in a relevant field (Equivalent certifications or relevant professional experience considered) 

    Must have: 

    • 5+ years of experience in analytics engineering, BI engineering, or data modelling roles
    • Strong expertise in data modelling, including dimensional modelling (star/snowflake schemas) and semantic layer design
    • Advanced SQL skills and experience working with cloud data platforms (e.g. Databricks, lakehouse architectures, Power BI/Fabric)
    • Proven experience building and governing semantic models and reusable datasets for analytics and BI
      Strong experience defining and implementing business KPIs and metric standardisation
    • Experience enforcing data governance, quality frameworks, testing, validation and documentation practices
    • A quality-first mindset – testing, documentation, and lineage as integral to the work, not overhead added at the end
    • Ability to translate business requirements into scalable, reusable data products

    Nice to have:

    • Experience working with FMCG data domains
    • Experience using Databricks Metric Views or similar semantic layer technologies
    • Experience building enterprise self-service analytics environments
    • Experience designing or supporting GenAI, agentic or conversational interfaces leveraging business data and MCP (Model Context Protocol)
    • Knowledge of Power BI advanced semantic modelling (DAX, RLS)
    • Familiarity with evolving semantic layer and data product patterns in modern data stacks
