    Driver: Forklift - PE Mondelez Coega

    Key areas of responsibility include:

    • Honesty - pride in his job and an eye for detail
    • Daily checks of forklift and completion of daily checklist - check daily controls - brakes hydraulic oil - tyres                     
    • Ensure correct us of forklift and other company equipment and to timeously report any defects
    • To report and record any non-conformity with regards to customer merchandise
    • Maintain high level of hygiene of forklift
    • To work within operating areas as determined by management and the needs of the business
    • When carrying out duties - follow standard operating procedures and safe working practices
    • To assist with the induction of new employees
    • Perform administrative tasks in line with SOP
    • Completion of daily MHE check lists
    • Safe and correct operation of equipment
    • Keep damages to a minimum
                                                                

    Qualifications/requirements

    • Educated to degree level or equivalent    
    • Relevant professional qualifications    
    • Matric      
    • Valid forklift drivers license (annual re-test)    

    Competencies & Skills & Experience

    • Good written and communication skills and understand basic arithmetical principles    
    • Person should know what products are handled by the Company    
    • Person needs basic understanding of distribution and transport methods    
    • Person should be able to enforce health and safety procedures and identify hazards        
    • Person should have a working knowledge of packaging and warehousing methods and application                        
    • Person should have a good understanding of quality as a key value            
    • Awareness of importance of security                      
    • Operational knowledge and understanding of service delivery       
    • Ability to understand instructions and to accurately carry out instructions - must listen effectively and convey ideas logically                      
    • React to customers in a courteous and professional manner            
    • Person should be able to propose different solutions to problems when asked to do so - must be able to act of their own without being urged to do so
    • Ability to meet time limits as set                        
    • 3 years driving experience in an FMCG environment

    Logistics Specialist - Kempton Park

    Key areas of responsibility include:

    • Analyse end-to-end operational processes to find Efficiencies and create Standardisation;
    • Implement new and standard Operational Processes and Systems;
    • Identify problematic processes and/or systems outputs and provide efficient and effective solutions to the operations;
    • Develop and refining local procedures that support an efficient operation;
    • Provide timely and accurate management information & reports as required, to Senior Management and Customers on a daily, weekly / monthly basis;
    • Benchmarking operational processes and systems and align to best practices and trend;
    • Align operational solutions effectively with the relevant internal and external stakeholders;
    • To support IT and Operations related to implementation / upgrade activities on sites, with the responsibility for the development of agreed plans and delivery to timescale and agreed to budgets;
    • Drive cost containment and/or cost reductions through development of efficient processes and/systems;
    • Analyse and recommend changes to Standard Operating Procedures to enhance accuracy, efficiency and operational effectiveness;
    • Identify areas of opportunity for improvement within the operations;
    • Be actively involved in and support change initiatives;
    • Ensure compliance to all policies and Standard Operating Procedures;
    • Support internal decision making processes by presenting accurate fact based information, which can be concisely presented to management for critical review and approval, in either presentation and/or report form;
    • Interface effectively with the Site Teams, IT, Solutions Design and Business Development departments to gather information and build efficient, cost effective solutions
    • Ensure site complies with policies and procedures as per SOP's
    • Audit & check Service level  / returns reason code allocation
    • Manage system outputs in line with site financial budget strategy

    Qualifications

    • Matric 
    • Educated to university degree level or equivalent professional qualification
    • Tertiary Qualification (Logistics, Business)
    • 5-10 years warehousing/logistics experience
