    Pharmacist Assistant (Post-Basic)

    Purpose of the Job    

    • Medirite Courier Pharmacy is looking for a qualified Pharmacist Assistant Post Basic to join our team.
    • The successful candidate will assist the pharmacist with dispensing and performing pharmacy-related administrative duties.

    • Dispensing (under the supervision of a pharmacist)

    Qualifications    

    Essential:

    • Qualified as a Post Basic Pharmacist Assistant.
    • Registered as a Post Basic Pharmacist Assistant with the South African pharmacy council.

    • Two years+ experience working in a similar role.

    Knowledge and Skills    

    Essential:

    Customer service orientated

    • Dispensing knowledge
    • Knowledge of dispensing systems and ordering systems

    Desirable:

    • Knowledge of Retail/ FMCG operations

    Operations Engineer

    Purpose of the Job    

    • To implement engineering projects related to DC infrastructure, systems, and procedures to make the Shoprite Supply Chain more competitive through the application of engineering principles and best practices.

    Job Objectives    

    ACCOUNTABLE FOR: 

    • Researching and implementing supply chain and operational best practices. 
    • Providing input into operational procedures and processes to ensure DC operations are reliable and stable. 
    • Investigations into new technologies available in the market for distribution centers. 
    • Analysis of large data sets and assisting in the development of KPI’s and reports for use by various management teams. 
    • Management of site-specific projects through:  
    • The development of project plans. 
    • Compiling supporting documentation. 
    • Implementation monitoring and management. 
    • Resource and stakeholder management, and internal coordination with business stakeholders. 
    • Project integration and facilitation of post implementation support.
    • Conducting business needs analysis as an input into strategy development. 
    • Conducting root causes analysis and development of appropriate corrective and preventative solutions to address underlying problems and inefficiencies. 
    • Development of business cases through cost-benefit analysis and the justification of related CAPEX. 
    • Assisting with business continuity and disaster recovery. 
    • Assist the Systems department with data analysis and visualisation. 
    • System front-end settings assessment and continuous improvement. 
    • Act as an intermediary between DC Operations and IT; to translate operational needs into functional requirements. 
    • The continuous improvement of DC performance through the optimisation of operational processes, DC layouts and system setups, and the identification of risks and opportunities. 

    Qualifications    

    • TERTIARY EDUCATION: BEng Industrial Engineering Degree. 

    Experience    

    • 2 - 5 Years related exposure. 
    • FMCG and Distribution Centre exposure. 
    • Programming experience (advantageous). 

    Knowledge and Skills    

    • Knowledge of Distribution Centre operations
