    Service Technician

    A Snapshot of Your Day

    • The Technician is responsible for carrying out planned and unplanned maintenance of wind turbines in a safe manner, whilst adhering to accepted quality and performance standards.

    How You’ll Make an Impact

    • Execution of planned and unplanned maintenance of turbines on site according to SGRE manuals, quality and safety standards and customer safety rules.
    • Capturing of data associated with maintenance activities to ensure proper functioning of the maintenance management system, i.e. registration of hours, works order management, etc.
    • Reporting of faults and defects on the turbine to the relevant SGRE Department.
    • Participate in on-call arrangements in line with the SGRE Standby Procedure.
    • Participate in all relevant technical and safety training from SGRE.
    • The employee is obligated to keep him- or herself informed of the quality system and the procedures related to the position and to work in accordance with the requirements defined in the quality system.
    • The employee is obligated to keep him- or herself informed of the safety, health and environmental management system and the procedures related to the position. The employee is obligated to respond to deviations observed from the procedures and to contribute to activities to improve the working environment.

    What You Bring

    • Proven experience as a Wind Technician or in a similar engineering role.
    • Strong technical knowledge of wind turbine systems and components.
    • Ability to work at heights and in varying weather conditions.
    • Outstanding problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
    • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
    • Certification in wind turbine maintenance and safety is preferred.

    • We are looking for a diligent and meticulous Government Affairs Intern to join our Middle East & Africa (MEA) team. This internship offers an outstanding opportunity to gain hands-on experience in public policy, collaborator engagement, and critical communications within a leading global energy company. The successful candidate will support the VP, MEA Government Affairs, and contribute to a variety of projects that impact Siemens Energy’s business interests in the region.

    How You’ll Make an Impact  

    • Track, monitor, and analyze legislative and regulatory developments in the Middle East & Africa region that may impact Siemens Energy’s business. Prepare regular updates and summaries for internal collaborators.
    • Conduct research on geopolitical, macroeconomic, and policy trends in the Middle East & Africa. Prepare briefings, snapshots, and draft position papers to inform business strategy and decision-making.
    • Assist in identifying and mapping key government, industry, and regulatory collaborators. Support the coordination and scheduling of meetings with government entities and other relevant organizations.
    • Draft and prepare internal and external communications, including letters, reports, presentations, and briefing materials for senior management and external collaborators.
    • Maintain and update the Government Affairs (GA) database, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records of collaborators, meetings, and policy developments.
    • Contribute to cross-functional projects with other business units and departments, supporting the development and execution of central initiatives.
    • Analyse data related to policy impacts, regulatory changes, and market trends to support Siemens Energy’s business objectives and advocacy efforts.

    What You Bring 

    • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Political Science, International Relations, Public Policy, Economics, Law, or a related field.
    • Strong interest in government affairs, public policy, and the energy sector.
    • Excellent research, analytical, and writing skills.
    • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a diverse, cross-functional team.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
    • Previous internships or work experience in government affairs, public policy, or a related field is an advantage.
    • Proficiency in English is required
