    Quality Control Officer (Pretoria)

    Description

    • Conducting in-house monitoring to ensure compliance with ICH/GCP, standards, Protocol and other Guidelines as applicable.
    • Ensure that all staff are using current versions of Study documents, e.g. Protocol specific documents, program specific documents.
    • Data verification of source data and relevant documents e.g. CRF’s, and other data collection forms.
    • Give ongoing feedback on type of findings/trends etc.
    • Identify training needs in, and give feedback to the relevant Study Coordinator/Project Manager.
    • Developing and maintaining systems to ensure that correct data is collected by relevant staff
    • Raising study related queries with the Quality Manager, Principal Investigator, Project Manager and Study Coordinator to ensure clean and accurate data
    • Review project developed source documentation.
    • Provide training on quality related topics.
    • Prepare for monitoring visits
    • SOP review and writing as applicable
    • Review corrective/preventive actions
    • Assisting the Quality Manager in implementing the Quality Management Plan
    • Performing other duties as delegated by the Quality Manager
    • Ensuring version control of study documents
    • Ensuring timely reporting of all project activities using predefined indicators
    • Performing quality control of recording and reporting procedures including checking data collection tools for accuracy

    Requirements

    Education:

    Clinical Advisor - Pietermaritzburg

    Technical Work Responsibilities

    • Utilise clinical expertise to provide clinical guidance and strategic direction to  the Provincial TB Directorate, Provincial HOD and high burdened district TB Co-ordinators on clinical governance and training on HIV and TB clinical care
    • Provide technical support to the PDoH on policy revision, district health policy framework and strategy revision
    • Coordinate and manage consultation with NDoH directorates, PDoH  and district management to discuss DS and DR TB policy revision
    • Plan and oversee meetings and workshops to discuss policy revision
    • Provision and analysis of Programme Data as required
    • Work with PDoH to develop dissemination outputs

    Requirements

    Education

    • A medical degree and be registered Medical Practitioner with the HPCSA

    • Knowledge of quantitative fields such as epidemiology or biostatistics
    • Certificate in Project Management
    • Advanced Paediatric HIV and TB management experience

    Professional Nurse - Nelson Mandela Bay

    Technical Work Responsibilities

    • Liaise with Internal and External Customers/Stakeholders
    • Ensure the management of TB patients efficiently according to DoH guidelines.
    • Improve quality standards for recording, reporting of TB data in the hospital.
    • Ensure patients who are diagnosed with TB in the hospital are registered.
    • Coordinate the down referral of patients diagnosed in the hospital and follow up to confirm that they reached the clinic and close contacts are traced.

    Technical Work Responsibilities

    • Identify through screening individuals who are TB-symptomatic but are not in TB medical care by giving referrals, utilizing information about missed appointments, and conducting outreach activities at various community venues and DOH Facilities

    SELECTION CRITERIA

    Education

    • Bachelor of Clinical Medical Practice (BCMP) degree (clinical associate)
    • Professional Nurse with a minimal or equivalent qualification of NQF 7 in Primary health care with a dispensing license

    Experience

    • The NIMDR-TB coordinator should have prior/current experience, not less than three years, in the treatment and management of DR-TB
    • Be updated with the current DR-TB clinical practises as per the 2019 DR-TB clinical reference guidelines
    • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in DR-TB programme management
    • Experience and knowledge of DR-TB management: programmatic and drugs, adverse events, and the management thereof
    • Good understanding of the M&E system
