    HAST Counsellor Driver (PPPrev Programme) Zululand

    Minimum Requirements

    • Grade 12  
    • Valid 10-day HIV AIDS counselling certificate(from recognised service provider) 
    • Certified to conduct finger prick testing 
    • Two years’ driving experience as well as working in HIV and TB programmes 
    • Valid code EB or C1 driver’s licence with PDP and
    • Proficiency in English and isiZulu languages   

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Transport PPPrev teams and equipment to and from different locations
    • Ensure vehicle inspection and submit checklist according to deadlines
    • Conduct quality HIV counselling and testing 
    • Encourage and support disclosure of relevant information
    • Conduct individual and group health education using the teaching aides provided
    • Assess the service users’ readiness to start PrEP
    • Record all activities on Comm Care or paper-based tools
    • Use the attendance tool to collect data at outreach events:
    • Screen service users for COVID-19, tuberculosis, and sexually transmitted infections.
    • Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team and maintain a high standard of professionalism in all interactions.
    • Refer service users to the Nurse Clinician or Enrolled Nurses for further tests where necessary
    • Comply with relevant legislation and organizational policies and procedures
    • Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor

    Facility Team Lead - OR Tambo

    Minimum Requirements

    • Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Nursing Sciences in health sciences
    • A diploma in Midwifery
    • A qualification in Primary Health care (PHC) or clinical assessment will be an added advantage
    • A diploma in HIV Clinical Management and /or NIMART
    • Certified training in Adult Primary Care (APC)
    • QI trained and fully understands the methodology and its application
    • 5 years relevant experience in the health sector managing/implementing HAST programs with knowledge of HIV and TB treatment cascade
    • 2 years in managerial / supervisory experience 
    • Familiar with SAG health system at national, province and district levels
    • Ability to communicate in IsiXhosa and English or another South African language

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Supervision of facility-based staff to ensure all program deliverables are fully achieved
    • Conducts skills audit exercise to identify training gaps.
    • Market CCMDD external pick-up points in communities
    • Focuses intensely on QI, Case Management, general CLI, viral monitoring through eLabs and suppressions, RTCQI,
    • Works collaboratively with Outreach Team Lead to ensure bidirectional referral, linkage and retention in care
    • Tracks facility and outreach performance against set TB and HIV clinical cascade indicators and advise accordingly on improvement strategies
    • Leads the development of QIPs working collaboratively with Facility Manager and Team to introduce change ideas followed by close monitoring of such intervention
    • Ensure staff understands the contents of standard operation procedures and implements accordingly
    • Ensures synergy between facility and outreach teams through sharing of daily activities
    • Conduct mapping exercise to understand the disease burden and deploy outreach teams including Community Health Workers (CHWs) accordingly
    • Conducts Siyenza site facilities with representatives of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and visits to Phuthuma sites with officials from the Department of Health
    • Support and monitor the implementation of patient-tracking and referral systems
    • Supports mentoring facility and outreach team in data analytics, use and decision making as informed by their own performance
    • Accommodates and cooperate with Civil Society representatives visiting facilities in line with facility and community monitoring functions
    • Works with Facility Manager to effectively establish and coordinate functionality of facility and clinic committees

    Minimum Requirements

    • Grade 12
    • Minimum of 3 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Valid driver’s license with PDP Code 10 EB or C1

    ICT Technician - OR Tambo

    Minimum Requirements

    • An appropriate certificate or degree in Information Systems/Technology.
    • Data Management Computer programme certificate; or equivalent combination of education and experience will be an added advantage
    • Knowledge of the public health sector policies and procedures will be advantageous.
    • At least 4 years’ experience in information systems in implementation activities, with emphasis on analysis, troubleshooting, and process flows.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Maintenance and support of the CCMDD electronic system (SyNCH) across all assigned healthcare facilities and pick-up points within a sub-district
    • Providing ongoing support and training at health facilities and PuPs to ensure optimal and consistent utilisation of the software system
    • Monitoring of the facilities’ use of the CCMDD software system and attending to any challenges and gaps by liaising closely with the provincial Helpdesk for support
    • Ensure the optimum functioning of all equipment and software involved in the CCMDD software system;(laptop, tablets, scanners, internet browsers & connectivity)
    • Providing weekly, monthly, quarterly and or annual progress reports to the CCMDD Coordinator and other relevant stakeholders regarding daily activities and progress against targets
    • Attending and participating in all required meetings with the manager and district CCMDD M&E team
    • Reporting discrepancies in data at a patient level to the CCMDD Coordinator and district CCMDD M&E team
    • Working closely with District Technical Advisor to ensure the SyNCH is implemented and used appropriately in accordance with healthcare facility needs
