    Mechanical Charge Hand

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

    • Good understanding of plant and maintenance operations.
    • Good communication and organizational skills.
    • Good knowledge of Safety management ISO 18000, ISO 9001, 14001 and API 653.
    • Be a team player and create a team environment.

    Minimum Requirements

    • Matric or N3/ N4
    • Fitter/ Millwright trade test
    • 3 years’ experience in the Fitting/Millwright trade
    • 5 years’ Supervisory experience

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Execute planned maintenance providing reliable equipment to support operations activities.
    • Schedule daily work and manage time to ensure that maximum productivity is met.
    • Ensure all equipment is maintained in good working order according to OEM.
    • Audit and manage job cards and update records accordingly.
    • Co-ordinate all maintenance activities on site with the Planner and minimise downtime and delays.
    • Arrange for efficient supply of strategic spares.
    • Ensure that all equipment is maintained at optimum levels to minimise downtime of equipment for operation.
    • Ensure that all documentation is completed and filed timeously.
    • Prioritise safety maintenance issues as per the ISO and OHS Act requirements.
    • Ensure correct PPE is worn and available.
    • Inspect portable electrical equipment, lifting equipment and PPE used by contractors on site.
    • Facilitate daily maintenance meetings with the team and set out daily priorities.
    • Continuously monitor expenditure and identify means to reduce costs.
    • Ensure compliance with relevant acts and standards.
    • Assist with ISO audits to ensure that standards are met.
    • Ensure work is complete and works orders closed.
    • Ensure that damaged equipment is sent out for repairs and returned timeously.
    • Assist with project work when necessary.

    Artisan Assistant

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

    • Basic Computer knowledge
    • Knowledge of NOSA & ISO standards
    • Good communication skills

    Minimum Requirements

    • Matric or N1
    • N3 Instrumentation or Electrical
    • 2 years engineering experience in a petrochemical environment or similar.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Assist with comprehensive maintenance program to ensure equipment availability.
    • Assist Artisans during maintenance breakdowns and preventative maintenance.
    • Maintain high standards of housekeeping and safety in area of work.
    • Dispose waste generated accordingly.
    • Tag and return equipment removed for repairs to Stores.
    • Maintain all tools and equipment in good working order.
    • Perform periodic equipment inspections.
    • Complete all preventative maintenance checklists and update records.
    • Remove and install minor equipment.
    • Assist with project work when required.
    • Safely operate basic tools and equipment.

    Millwright

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

    • Basic Computer knowledge
    • Knowledge of ISO standards
    • Supervisory or work team leading experience
    • Good people/ Engineering customer service skills
    • Good communication skills, both verbal and written.

    Minimum Requirements

    • Matric or NTC3
    • Qualified Millwright – trade tested
    • 5 Years Millwright experience
    • PLC and Scada systems
    • Instrumentation knowledge advantageous

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Instrumentation knowledge on maintenance and fault finding
    • Mechanical and Electrical maintenance
    • Maintain HT equipment, hydraulic systems, pumps, deluge, electrical systems and emergency generators
    • Perform Locomotive electrical and mechanical maintenance
    • Compressor and evaporative condenser maintenance
    • Plan and prioritize daily work using SAP system
    • Be available for standby and callouts as per department roaster
    • Train and supervise junior employees when required
    • Attend to electrical and mechanical breakdowns daily
    • Fault finding on PLC and Scada systems
    • Perform statutory electrical and mechanical inspections
    • Repair locomotives, compressors, pumps, condensers, valves, diesel engines
    • Overhaul and test valves, relief valves and mechanical pumps
    • Install mechanical seals and v-belts
    • Operating within the parameters of the Occupational Health & Safety Act
    • Controlling and maintaining of all Quality Systems.
