    Pharmacy Assistant Post Basic - Session

    Requirements :

    • Post-basic Pharmacist Assistant qualification that allows registration with South African Pharmacy Council (SAPC) as a Pharmacist Assistant (Post Basic). Current registration with SAPC is a requirement.
    • Grade 1; No experience after registration with SAPC as a Pharmacist Assistant (Post Basic).
    • Grade 2, a minimum of 5 years appropriate experience after registration with SAPC as a Pharmacist Assistant (Post Basic).
    • Grade 3; a minimum of 13 years appropriate experience after registration with SAPC as a Pharmacist Assistant (Post Basic).
    • Computer literacy will be an added advantage. Basic communication and interpersonal skills. Basic knowledge of pharmaceutical processes, knowledge of relevant legislations and policies, recordkeeping and basic knowledge of drug supply management.
    • Work effectively as part of the team. High level of personal integrity, passion, and commitment to the profession.

    Duties :

    • The incumbent will work under direct/ indirect supervision of the Pharmacist. Must fulfill the roles of a pharmacist assistant post basic in the dispensing process of medication to in- and outpatient departments.
    • Assist with stock control, stock taking and cyclic stock counts in the pharmacy. Picking, labelling and issuing medicines to patients under supervision of a pharmacist. Assist with the re-packaging of medicine, according to standard operating procedures approved by the responsible pharmacist.
    • Assist with ordering, receiving and distribution of pharmaceuticals to various outlets. Perform wards round for the purpose of inventory management. Assist in implementation of SOP’s, Good Pharmacy Practice, norms and standards. Assist in general housekeeping and administration tasks in the pharmacy as specified by the responsible pharmacist or supervising pharmacist.
    • Assist with pharmacy projects and programmes. Taking effective steps to prevent any unauthorized, irregular or fruitless and wasteful expenditure. Willingness to work on a flexible schedule as determined by the pharmacy manager or the supervisor.

    Medical Officer - Grade 1- Grade 3

    Requirements :

    • Matric Certificate with an Appropriate qualification that allows registration with the HPCSA as a Medical Practitioner.
    • HPCSA registration as a Medical Practitioner, and must be post-Community Service.
    • Current registration with HPCSA (2025/2026).
    • Additional clinical qualifications will be advantageous.

    Duties :

    • The incumbent will be responsible for interviewing, investigating, diagnosing, and overseeing patient-related administrative duties, as well as treating patients. Supervising junior doctors: undergraduate students, interns, and community service doctors.
    • Attendance at Patient Safety Incident meetings where necessary and completing Medico Legal Documents timeously (e.g., Death certificates, medical forms, injury on duty, and J88 forms). Enhance the quality of care by delivering targeted clinical interventions.
    • Reduce medical litigation by exercising good clinical ethos. Implement and monitor adherence to the Ideal Hospital Framework and Office of Health Standards Compliance requirements.
    • Participate in a multidisciplinary team in the management of patients. Participation in the accident and emergency department and/or outpatient department and ward consultations.
    • Ensure that administration and proper record-keeping are done in the allocated clinical Department. Participate in compulsory commuted overtime duties by rendering after-hour (night, weekend, and public holiday) duties to provide continuous, uninterrupted care of patients.
    • Medical officers will, inter alia, be responsible for rendering clinical services, assessing, and treating patients.

    Professional Nurse General

    Requirements :

    • Diploma/Degree in nursing (Basic R171, R174 or R425) qualification or equivalent that allows registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a Professional/Registered Nurse.
    • Registration with SANC as Professional/Registered Nurse. Good communication skills, report writing skills, facilitation skills, coordination skills, planning and organizational skills, problem solving skills, information management skills.

    Duties :

    • Provide direction and supervision for the implementation of the nursing plan (clinical Practice/quality patient care). Implement standards, practices, criteria an indicator for quality nursing.
    • Practice nursing and health care in accordance with the laws and regulations relevant to nursing and health care. Maintain and constructive working relationship with nursing and other stake holders.
    • Utilize human, physical and material resources efficiently and effectively. Demonstrate an understanding of legislation and related legal and ethical nursing practices.
    • Perform clinical nursing practice and promote quality nursing care in accordance with the scope of practice and nursing standards as determined by the institution.
    • Work as part of multidisciplinary team to ensure good nursing care.
    • Work effectively, amicably with persons of diverse intellectual, cultural, racial or religious differences. Able to plan and organize own work and that of support of personnel to ensure proper nursing care.
    • Provision of quality patient care through adherence to set standards, policies and procedures. To provide more complex nursing care that leads to improved service delivery by upholding Batho-Pele Principles and Patient’s Rights Charter.
    • Act as shift leader in Unit (when necessary). Effective utilisation of resources.
    • Participation in training and research. Maintenance of professional growth, ethical standards and self-development.
    • Must be prepared to work shifts and be rotated.
