    Security Officer (Graaff-Reinet)

    Description

    • If you have a keen eye, calm authority and a strong sense of responsibility, this role may be right up your alley.

    What You’ll Be Doing:

    Security Enforcement

    • Guard and secure Montego premises, property and assets
    • Apprehend criminals and evict violators in accordance with legal and company procedures
    • Restrain trespassers where required
    • Provide off-site guarding support to Montego employees when necessary

    Access Control, Surveillance and Operations

    • Ensure all security systems are fully operational and report any faults
    • Conduct physical security checks and risk assessments relating to intrusion or safety incidents
    • Provide physical and remote escort services in high-risk areas
    • Respond to and investigate alarm incidents and accurately record them in the Incident Management System
    • Perform Control Room duties including:
    • CCTV surveillance
    • Alarm monitoring
    • Vehicle tracking
    • Investigate accidents, suspicious activities, fire and safety incidents in line with Montego policy
    • Monitor movement of vehicles, goods and products through Access Control systems
    • Conduct real-time and recorded footage analysis
    • Restrict and manage access to designated areas using appropriate security systems
    • Screen individuals using detecting devices or physical inspections (in designated private areas)
    • Receive and distribute packages from external suppliers
    • Maintain accurate security records including incident reports, dispatch entries and shift handover reports
    • Complete witness statements and provide evidentiary video footage where required
    • Perform additional duties as directed by the Security Supervisor

    Security Support

    • Analyse and respond to support requests relating to:
    • Access Control
    • Surveillance
    • First Aid
    • Occupational Health and Safety
    • General security queries
    • VIP arrangements
    • Provide security support within required timeframes
    • Escalate requests to relevant stakeholders when necessary
    • Ensure escalated matters are resolved and feedback is provided
    • Deliver all support in accordance with company policies, procedures and legal requirements

    Requirements

    What We Are Looking For:

    • Grade 12 (NQF Level 4)
    • PSIRA Grade C Certification
    • Valid Code B Driver’s Licence
    • Minimum 3 years’ experience in security guarding
    • Strong communication skills
    • Conflict management and de-escalation
    • Highly confidential and trustworthy
    • Someone who is detail orientated, and able to multitask effectively, has an understanding of security policies & procedures and Access control systems
    • Knowledge of relevant security legislation and regulations

    Logistics & Amp; Consignment Controller (Graaff-Reinet)

    Description

    • This role sits at the centre of procurement, transport and receiving operations — part planner, part problem-solver, and part administrative wizard.

    What You'll Be Doing:

    Purchase Order Administration

    • Review inbound schedules and create additional Purchase Orders (POs) when required
    • Monitor and analyse open PO lists and follow up on outstanding orders
    • Obtain approvals for newly created POs
    • Capture and load POs onto the system prior to receiving raw materials
    • Monitor consumable stock levels and initiate replenishment through Purchase Requisitions (PRs) and approved POs
    • Maintain and update supplier price lists to ensure accurate PO pricing
    • Assign POs to relevant inbound loads

    Transport Scheduling

    • Create and distribute inbound transport schedules to relevant stakeholders
    • Select the most cost-effective transport option, whether fleet or third-party
    • Communicate transport requirements clearly and ensure deadlines are met
    • Monitor implementation of schedules and adjust where required, keeping stakeholders informed throughout

    Receiving Administration

    • Receive, scan and file inbound documentation in line with document management procedures
    • Verify documentation against PO details and investigate discrepancies
    • Amend PO details where necessary (with approval) and generate product receipts
    • Submit product receipts and supporting documents to Accounts Payable for processing
    • Provide feedback to the Procurement Manager regarding received materials
    • Assist with month-end stock takes
    • Complete general filing and administrative tasks

    Hygiene, Housekeeping and Safety

    • Adhere to Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) requirements and Food Safety standards (FSSC 22000)
    • Identify and address health and safety hazards through preventative and corrective measures
    • Maintain personal hygiene standards
    • Ensure the work area remains clean, safe and organised

    Requirements

    What We Are Looking For:

    • Grade 12 (NQF Level 4) – Essential
    • Logistics or Procurement Diploma (NQF Level 6) – Advantageous
    • 2–3 years’ experience in logistics, procurement or a related environment
    • Proficiency in MS Office, including basic Excel
    • Someone with strong planning and prioritisation abilities, excellent scheduling and coordination capability
    • Strong interpersonal skills
