    • You will provide new and existing clients with professional and relevant financial advice, planning, and products (sales) suited to their needs.
    • You will be responsible for procuring sustainable, high-quality business in line with the targets set. Additionally, you will build and maintain a portfolio of clients, ensuring long-term relationships that foster loyalty to the brand and generate ongoing advice and sales.

    Responsibilities:

    • Conduct a financial needs analysis, using the relevant e-tools/instruments or systems, to ascertain the client’s short term insurance needs.
    • Present short-term insurance solutions to the client professionally and competently aligned to Treating Customers Fairly.
    • Use relevant processes and system tools to capture analysis information and update records accordingly.
    • Review client’s portfolio annually with a full Record of advice.

    Client Service:

    • Ensure all client interactions are ethical, courteous, and professional.
    • Managing client’s claims needs from registration to settlement.
    • Strive for excellent, value-added service to clients so that they do not seek competitor products or services.
    • Undertake continuous learning in terms of knowledge, skills, and market/industry issues to service clients within the defined market.

    Financial Controller: Group Market Development & Sustainability(CPT/JHB)

    What will you do?

    • This is a specialist management support role within the Sanlam Foundation that does not have any direct reports.
    • This role assists and advises managers on the financial implications of business decisions to drive the Sanlam Foundation strategy and achieve measurable impact across the various programmes that the Sanlam Foundation funds and runs.

    Responsibilities of the job include: 

    • Financial Management Functions: compiling and managing budgets and forecasts, facilitate account payments, purchase requisitions, expenses, undertaking financial administration, preparation of reconciliations, facilitate internal and external audit processes from planning to completion.
    • Taxation: Income tax preparation and submission; VAT calculations, reconciliations and submission

    Group Risk Actuary (Based in either Tygervalley or Sandton)

    What will you do?

    • The role will report to the Group Risk and Reinsurance Actuary. The role will give the successful candidate exposure to a wide range of actuarial disciplines, different people and cultures, and a broad range of products and businesses in Africa across the SanlamAllianz Life portfolio.

    What will make you successful in this role?

    The successful candidate will be responsible for building out SanlamAllianz Life Group Risk product support. This will include:

    • Group risk pricing support and the governance thereof, experience rating and technical marketing

    • Develop and maintain relationships with Sanlam Corporate in South Africa to stay close and apply best of class practices around group risk products across the SanlamAllianz Life portfolio

    • Working closely with the SanlamAllianz Life IT and Operation support function to ensure effective operational processes, systems and procedures for group risk products

    Qualification and Experience

    • Qualified actuary with a strong preference for experience in group risk pricing
