Job Purpose

• The GIS Manager will be responsible for the overall management of the GIS Department, with a focus on risk management, budget management, market development, project management and strategic planning.

Responsibilities and Duties

• General management and marketing of GIS products to clients
• Manage and analyse GIS data, producing reports for management and other departments
• Conduct market analysis to determine and enhance market share
• Use GIS data to assist with credit-related risk management
• Provide GIS software-based logistical planning support
• Develop tailored GIS solutions and services to clients
• Process, analyse and model spatial data
• Ensure the continuous quality assurance, maintenance and distribution of spatial data
• Generate maps, GIS reports and other information products to support users
• Compile and organise GIS data from maps, databases and other sources
• Digitise and convert mapping resources and data into usable formats
• Ensure accuracy and quality in data collection and map generation
• Develop chemical maps and web applications

Qualifications and Skills

• Tertiary qualification in in GIS, Geography, Cartography or Surveying
• Postgraduate Management Qualification: MBA (advantageous)
• Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience
• Credit experience (advantageous)
• Programming experience (advantageous)
• Proficiency in GIS software (ENVI, GEOBIA, ArcGIS & QGIS)
• Bilingual (Afrikaans and English)
• Understanding of farming and its various aspects
• Ability to present complex data in a simple and understandable manner
• Ability to work independently and proactively to solve complex issues
• Ability to work under pressure

Job Purpose

• The GIS Technician will be responsible for daily GIS data collection and management, quality assurance, visualisation, and analysis of agriculture-related vector and raster data, including satellite imagery.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Process, analyse and model GIS data for agricultural applications
• Ensure ongoing quality assurance, maintenance and distribution of spatial data
• Provide support to end-users by generating maps, GIS reports and information products
• Compile and organise GIS data from maps, databases and other sources
• Convert mapping resources and data into usable formats
• Perform quality control on data collection projects
• Handle general enquiries and market GIS products to clients
• Produce high-quality maps for various purposes
• Digitise data from aerial photography and satellite imagery as needed
• Collect field data from farmers to support analysis and decision-making

Qualifications and Skills

• Tertiary qualification in GIS, Geography, Cartography or Surveying
• 1-3 years experience in a similar role
• Proficient in GIS software (ArcGIS or QGIS)
• Bilingual (Afrikaans and English)
• Ability to work under pressure
• Ability to work independently
• Understanding of farming practices and related aspects

Responsibilities and Duties

• Manage administrative tasks and communicate economic insights effectively
• Collaborate with a wide range of organisations, including government entities, NGO’s, agricultural businesses, private sector stakeholders and members, to convey information and perspectives
• Ensure the accuracy and quality of agricultural data
• Provide professional and administrative contributions to TWK Agri’s operations
• Collect on-site data from farmers to inform analysis and recommendations
• Work independently and proactively to solve challenges within the agricultural environment

Qualifications and Skills

• Tertiary qualification in Agricultural Economics
• 1 year experience in the agricultural sector
• Understanding of farming practices and various agricultural aspects
• Proficient in MS Office Suite
• Bilingual (Afrikaans and English)
• Ability to work under pressure
• Ability to operate in an advisory capacity
• Ability to present complex data in a simple and clear format

Responsibilities and Duties 

• Bag, box, wrap merchandise and prepare packages for shipment
• Compute and record transactions
• Count money in cash drawers at the beginning of shifts to ensure that amounts are correct and that there is adequate change
• Sort, count and wrap notes and coins
• Establish or identify prices of goods and tabulate bills using calculators, cash registers or optical scanners
• Greet customers entering establishments
• Issue receipts, refunds, credits or change due to customers
• Keep periodic balance sheets of amounts and numbers of transactions
• Receive payment by cash or card
• Maintain clean and orderly checkout areas
• Stock shelves and mark prices on shelves and items
• Do stock takes

Qualifications and Skills 

• Matric / Grade 12
• Computer literate
• Previous cashier experience
• Ability to work with money
• Ability to work with customers
• Good interpersonal skills
