• Draws merchandise from the stockroom as requested. Responsible for marking and bringing merchandise onto the floor and packing it onto the shelves.

Requirements

• Grade 12 or NQF4  
• Experience in agricultural retail serve as recommendation 
• At least 1 - 3 years' experience transport, warehousing, or logistics operations
• Required to work weekends and public holidays as per roster
• Knowledge of load planning, weight distribution, and safety regulations
• Physically fit and able to manage heavy-duty tasks
• Clear Criminal Record

Duties and Responsibilities

• Plan, direct, and oversee the loading and unloading of cargo and goods
• Ensure weight distribution and securing of loads comply with safety standards
• Inspect cargo and documentation for accuracy before dispatch
• Coordinate with drivers, dispatchers, and warehouse staff
• Keep accurate records of loads, movements, and reconciliations
• Monitor and report any deviations, damages, or incidents during loading/unloading
• Uphold company values and maintain a safe working environment

Job Description

• The ideal team player will be responsible to perform varied and complex tasks relating to the grain handling and storage function. further the Junior Industrial Operator supports the safe and efficient handling, processing, and storage of grain.
• This entry-level position assists with operating grain handling equipment and maintaining quality, safety, and hygiene standards under the guidance of senior operators.

Requirements

• Grade 12 or NQF 4.
• Certificate in Grain Grading and Grain Fumigation will serve as recommendation
• Minimum 3-Years experience in a similar role and environment is essential

Duties and Responsibilities

• Monitor flow of grain continuously
• Continuous grain protection through fumigation as determined by supervisor
• Monitor of grain tube temperature and report deviation to superior
• Measure grain tubes according to policy and safety regulations
• Operate silo according to the VKB Group policy and regulations
