    Store Person

    Purpose of Role:

    • Planning and organizing stock and inventory while keeping track of what is available in inventory.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Conduct regular cycle counts and ensure minimum and maximum stock levels are maintained.
    • Issuing Personal Protective Equipment and ensure accurate records are kept.
    • Assist with placing orders in the absence of the Procurement Clerk.
    • Assist the Procurement Clerk with acquiring the best prices by calling suppliers.
    • Accept deliveries by ensuring that the items match the paperwork, signing for receipt and providing a copy of the paperwork to the office.
    • Check quantities rigorously and accurately.
    • Check and control weights on the weighbridge.
    • Responsible for loading, unloading and moving goods with a forklift.
    • Manage and control access to stores areas i.e. Flammable Store / Gas Store / Store.
    • Ensure housekeeping is kept to standard in all areas of stores.
    • Ensure MSDS are available for all chemicals.
    • Ensure MSDS files are reviewed and kept up to date.
    • Conduct regular workplace inspections.
    • Ensure all registers and certificates for Flammable Store is accurate and valid.
    • Manage the collection and return of fire extinguishers by various departments.
    • Liaise and follow up with service provider for the recharging of fire extinguishers.
    • Responsible for arranging annual servicing of fire equipment.
    • Conduct safety checks and maintenance checks on all vehicles.
    • Adherence to all statutory HSE and housekeeping / 5S requirements.
    • Adhere to Duty of Care Policy at all times.

    Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications:

    • Matric (Grade 12)
    • Minimum of 1 to 2 years related experience.
    • Valid driver’s license is a requirement.
    • Valid forklift license advantageous.
    • Overhead crane license advantageous.
    • Advanced MS Office required
    • Good communication skills
    • Attention to detail and accuracy

    General Manager Sales: Central and West Africa

    Purpose of Role:

    • As a General Manager Sales you will be accountable for delivering on Weir ESCO's ambitious growth targets in the West and Central Africa regions. You will leverage your technical foundation, commercial acumen, key account management experience and leadership skills to empower your team of district managers and technicians to develop high-potential regions.

    • Significant potential lies in this region, and you will have the autonomy to run this as your own sub-business from setting the strategy, setting and filling the organogram, and executing to reach your revenue and margin targets.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Sales Focused: Strategic planning and design of the territory’s sales strategy, along with the successful communication and delivery of the strategy. New business development. Guide and direct sales activity across the territory to support delivery against KPI’s and targets.
    • People Leadership: Effectively manage direct reports and provide leadership and management while supporting the development, growth and upskilling of sales teams. Positioning the company’s sales resources and technical capability accordingly and in line with emerging business opportunities.
    • Customer Focused: Effectively manage customer expectations and successfully negotiate commercial outcomes consistent with achievement of strategic and financial objectives.
    • Travel: Proactively plan and undertake business travel in the Central and West Africa region to support
    • direct reports, support current customer base and develop new business in line with Regional objectives.
    • Financial Management: Ensure new business development, negotiations and commercial contracts are in line with proposed budgeted growth. Develop and achieve annual budget (in line with strategic plan ) and report monthly on key result areas. Setting revenue targets for the territory and setting key performance indicators as well as taking responsibility for sales forecasting.
    • Sustainability: Formulating and implementation of interventions to deliver sustained performance in terms of securing tenders and new business opportunities. Driving and promoting process optimization opportunities in the territory
    • Safety First: Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviors in support of our drive towards developing a world class safety culture.

    Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's Degree: Engineering (Business qualification would be preferential, MBA ideal)
    • 8 Years Experience in a senior sales role in the mining industry
    • Proven track record of progressive accomplishments in the mining industry
