    Delivery Controller

    Job description

    Job Purpose

    Key Purpose To ensure the safe, efficient and effective distribution of bulk petroleum fuels from the Depot/Terminal to the customer. To provide a service of excellence to our customers by meeting SLA's. To comply with all HSEQ requirements, Engen policies and procedures and Audit requirements

    • Distribution performed in line with prescribed operations/standing instructions and complies with OHS Act safety guidelines
    • Ensure driver briefing and debriefing is conducted prior and post trip - ensure drivers adhere/ comply with all driver standards as per Engen requirements
    • Handle all driver trip incidents reporting to standard and follow up as required
    • Audit compliance

    Asset Management

    • Optimized assets - right vehicle to appropriate customer/customer order
    • Continuous Improvement initiatives documented and implemented
    • Equipment utilised as per spec

    • Ensure all vehicles have valid fire permits and SLP (Safe loading pass)

    Administration Control

    • Ensure that overtime sheets are completed accurately and timeously
    • Ensure all delivery documentation is received, trip sheets completed correctly, POD signature on all delivery notes
    • Ensure all SAP reporting requirements are compiled to *Ensure all deliveries are confirmed per shift
    • Customer and Service Provider Interface
    • Interact with customers and service providers

    • Work with contractor to ensure deliverables are met
    • Provide internal support to the contractor

    Education & Experience

    •  Matric or equivalent.
    • 2-3 years depot operations experience or relevent. experience within the same or similar position.

    Knowledge, Skills & Attributes Knolwedge

    • Knowledge of relevant SAP modules (MM< SD< TD)
    • Understanding of Engen bulk fuels supply chain process including relationships with other Oil Companies.
    • Good knowledge of stock control principles and practices
    • Good knowledge of the fuels distribution process
    • Good working knowledge of depot operations.
    • Working knowledge of fleet delivery operations.
    • Working knowledge of fuel facs process and systems
    • Working knowledge of relevant road traffic legislation.

    Role Purpose

    Key Purpose To implement and maintain Advanced Process Control solutions ensuring profitable and reliable process unit control within safe operating limits.

    Specific Outcomes Advanced Process Control

    • Apply and Implement Advanced/Baselayer Regulatory Control using Refinery Internal standard under guidance
    • Monitor and report APC performance and identify areas for improvement
    • Monitor and report MPC performance, identify areas for improvement followed by implementation of action plan under guidance, e.g. controller tuning changes
    • Optimally tune process control loops based on loop criticality as per industry standards.
    • Maintain existing inferential models for use in multivariable controls and re-calibrate if necessary to ensure that models track reproducibility limits, under guidance
    • Build MPC under guidance
