Minimum Requirements

ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Matric / grade 12 qualification essential
• Relevant tertiary qualification would be an advantage

Experience

3 to 5 years sales experience in the steel industry essential

Duties & Responsibilities

• Develop a database of qualified leads
• Develop annual business plan in conjunction with Sales Manager
• Maintain Accurate Records of Pricing, Sales and Activity Reports
• Maximizes all opportunities in the process of closing a sale
• Sells consultatively and makes recommendations to prospects and clients
• Customer Relationships

Knowledge Skills & Abilities

• The ability to read and understand technical drawings and the technical implications thereof would be a definite advantage
• Must have sound working knowledge on MS Office and email
• Be able to apply their sales ability as well as their technical ability
• Able to expedite and update the customer at all times
• Must be self disciplined and target driven
• High technical communication/negotiation ability
• Good reporting abilities both verbal and written

• 3 – 4-year degree in Engineering / Industrial or Mechanical field

Experience

3-5 Years Pipeline Design Experience

Duties & Responsibilities

• Completing studies and reports with a focus on providing recommendations for technical solutions
• Reviewing project documents for scope presentation and technical accuracy
• Reviewing of Process Flow Diagrams (PFD) and Piping and Instrument Diagrams (P&ID)
• Establishing good working relationships and communication with area leads, department managers and clients
• Identify opportunities, for the business, to provide enhanced service or sales offerings to the customer.
• Travelling to local site locations for design and/or construction/commissioning assistance
• Prepare and present site visit reports and monthly feedback reports to client with regards to system integrity
• Prepare and submit monthly activities reports to management
