    Performance Improvement - Supply Chain & Operations Senior Associate

    Job description

    Responsibilities

    • Work effectively as a team member, sharing responsibility, providing support, maintaining communication, and updating senior team members on progress
    • Develop and maintain productive working relationships with client personnel
    • Extract compelling insights from qualitative and quantitative data gathering and analysis
    • Present these insights concisely in PowerPoint, Tableau, Spotfire, or by other means
    • Participate and assist in preparing for facilitated workshops, interviews, and meetings
    • Train client staff
    • Prepare reports, summaries, action plans, and project schedules
    • Build strong internal relationships within EY, within Advisory, with other Service Lines, and globally within the Firm
    • Continuously work on your personal growth and professional development
    • Understand and follow workplace policies and procedures

    Desired Skills and Experience

    Skills requirements

    • Supply chain & operations experience in the following field: manufacturing / operations
    • Experience in continuous improvement, i.e. lean six sigma, are a plus
    • Engineering Degree, Ideal would be
    • Mechanical Engineering degree, preferably from University
    • Industrial Engineering degree, preferably from University
    • Additional certification in SC, ie. APCIS certification are a plus
    • High inter-personal skills
    • Strong analytical and conceptual thinkingskills
    • Good presentation skills – written and verbal
    • Self-starter, entrepreneurial spirit, goal oriented

    Additional requirements:

    • 3-5 years’ work experience, ideally a combination of management consulting and in manufacturing / production
    • Sector experience: CPR / Manufacturing / Heavy Asset sector (maintenance) / Mining
    • Very high interest in industry 4.0, digitalization and production
    • Proficient in English language skills, written and verbal

    Data Analytics Senior Associate

    Job description

    Description of Role:

    We requirepeople who have implemented the technical solutions in the below mentioned areas as well aspeople who actually performed the data and analytical work in the listed areas.

    The successful candidate will be required to design, develop and implement data analytics and analytics driven solutions covering the entire spectrum from basic analytics to advanced analytics such as predictive modelling, machine learning and artificial intelligence, both in South Africa and abroad.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Develop methods, tools and enablers for the service.
    • Designing and implementing computer aided audit techniques in the following languages: SAS, SQL, VBA, Access and Excel.
    • Summarize and confirm the client business environment including business processes, IT systems, systems interfaces, and database and files.
    • Assist with interviews on complex engagements in client environment.
    • Lead interviews in a non-complex environment.
    • Detail review assessment of the data including reconciliation, validation and profiling data.
    • Apply data transformation in complex environment.
    • Acquire data from complex environments with assistance.
    • Perform complex coding.
    • Document and review work products.
    • Develop relationships and work with middle management clients.
    • Budgeting and costing
    • Allocation of resources
    • Day to day project management

    • Minimum B.Sc/ B.Com Honours with focus on Quantitative skills, financial engineering, mathematical modelling, data modelling, IT.
