Main purpose of the Job

• Accomplishes project objectives by planning and evaluating project activities.

Main Function of the Job

• Implement defined standards; policies and procedures in line with TIA, ISO methodologies.
• Maintain a comprehensive capacity plan for Teraco. This will include, but is not limited to, power, space and cooling.
• Work with 3rd party vendors and suppliers to ensure acceptable service levels are met and necessary services are performed, and to be informed of latest changes and improvements in the data centre market segment
• Respond to and perform miscellaneous duties as directed by management.
• Interact with all areas of the Teraco business.
• Maintain record keeping for cabling and design systems
• Assist in ensuring consistent optimization of all systems (hardware & software) to achieve business targets
• Apply project management principles for all internal and external projects
• Establish a project office methodology for entire operations
• Project manage all large customer projects
• Project manage all large capex projects for Teraco

OUTPUTS

• Maintain a continuous uptime status by applying, amongst other things, standards, guidelines and processes
• Control and keep cabling, environmental monitoring and access control in a sound working order.
• Coordinate carrier and customer deployments and installations
• Skills transfer and training sessions
• Ensure process implementation and operation thereof are in sync across all locations
• Assist with developing business cases
• Develop Standards and implement best practice guidelines
• Provide support and assistance to the business
• Generate reports on all aspects of environmental utilities, access control, tickets logged, incidents and any information as required by management
• Stay abreast with current technology changes and product enhancements
• Provide accurate solution architecting proposals and associated costing
• Provide accurate capacity planning and utilization reports
• Projects to complete to cost, time and quality expectations
• Set a standards specifications document for all Teraco Data Centers
• Oversee all project build, ensuring standards and qualities are applied in accordance with Teraco standards
• Standards and guideline certification
• Train all other staff on all aspects of Data centre equipment and procedures as well as processes
• Supplier and technology research
• Assist with complex challenges such as hot spots and or power spikes.
• Assist sales with a solutions architect approach, on a technical level
• Adhering to ticket response times
• Reports on the above task
• Control incidents in workplace
• Ensure that all control measures implemented and maintained

• Experience in Health & Safety (OSHAC)
