    Group Financial Reporting Manager

    Job description

    Purpose:

    The purpose of this role is to manage the completion of accurate & timely financial and management accounting and reporting for all group entities up to consolidated level. To ensure relevant processes & internal controls are in place in order to facilitate Clickatell’s compliance with statutory & legal requirements across the group.

    Key responsibility areas:

    • Reporting:

     

      • Manage and provide leadership to the FP&A team, ensuring that timely, accurate and relevant financial & management reports, including but not limited to integrated reports, cost centre reports, management accounts, analyst reports, etc. are produced
      • Review and completion of all financial reporting with variance analysis and communicate financial results to management as required
      • Assist with BBBEE reporting
    • Forecasts & Budgeting:
      • Manage and provide leadership to the FP&A team, ensuring the team works with members from the leadership teams to prepare timely and accurate annual forecasts and budgets, reviewed and updated quarterly;
      • Provide support and guidance to members from the leadership teams in respect of forecasts and budgets;
      • Provide timely monthly feedback to member from the leadership teams with analysis on cost centre reports;
    • Commercial support:
      • Review and verify sales commission calculations and assist with compilation of annual sales commission plans with financial scenario testing
      • Review vendor application forms as required by customers and suppliers
      • Provide support to Commercial Managers as required
    • Fund raising, M&A activity:
      • Support the CEO and CFO on matters pertaining to the investment community and capital raising; this includes leading on compiling all the supporting documents and activities for funding, interactions with shareholders, mergers, acquisitions and potential preparation for a M&A

    General:

    • Continuously identify and implement improvements on processes and reports
    • When required, support to the Legal team for all company secretarial & Corporate governance related functions and reporting
    • Assist the Finance Director in the financial internal controls of Clickatell companies

    • Demonstrable experience of Excel skills and good working knowledge of Word, PowerPoint and Outlook

    • Selfstarter who can work with minimum of supervision
    • Experience of creating and sustaining a culture of responsive, timely, reliable and knowledgeable service to users
    • Ability to prioritise tasks and manage personal and departmental schedules effectively to meet tight deadlines
    • Project management skills

    General Competencies:

    • Excellent negotiation and collaboration skills both within the team and among other departments
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality and build credibility
    • Willingness to work outside of normal office hours when circumstances dictate

    Experience and Education:

    • CA (SA) with 5 years’ post article experience
    • IFRS and US GAAP experience
    • Proficient in IBM Cognos tools (TM1) and OneSource
    • Experience in creating and maintaining complex spread sheets. Advanced MS Excel skills essential
    • JSE Listed company experience, especially with financial and integrated reporting
