    Cloud Migration Team Leader

    Job description

    Our company has a vacancy for the role as Cloud Migration Team Leader. Having always implemented new technology for our clients, we're now ready to move many clients, national and regional, to the cloud. It's an exciting time for us and we'd like to hire someone with exceptional skills to service our clients. We're located in Cape Town.

    Managing a small team, your role as team leader means you are responsible for project management and rollout of Office 365, G Suite and Azure migration.

    Reporting to:

    • Business owner
    • Working conditions:
    • Client facing and office.

    Job duties:

    Manage, mentor and train junior and senior technicians. Check technical details on quotes. Project management. Scheduling subordinates. Policy and procedure development. Research. Occasional drafting of reports.

    Software used:

    • Microsoft Cloud (Office 365; Azure)
    • Google Cloud (G Suite)
    • Dropbox Business
    • Microsoft (Windows Server 2012-2016; Active Directory; HyperV; RDS; Exchange; MsSQL; Office; Visio)
    • Linux [Ubuntu / CentOS] (VMware; MySQL)
    • Mikrotik; and
    • understanding of VoIP.

    Job specification

    Qualifications:

    • Preference will be given to the candidate with these qualifications:
    • MCSA/MCSE 2008/2012 (most applicable exam numbers: 70-346, 70-347, 70-410, 70411, 74-409, 70-345, 70-740, 70-741,70-744); and
    • Mikrotik

    Experience:

    In-depth knowledge: server / desktop hardware; virtualization technologies (HyperV and VMware); routing and switching (DNS, TCP, IP, HTTPS / HTTP and IMAP / POP / SMTP); Windows servers (Exchange, MsSQL, DNS, AD, File Server, VPN, RDP / terminal server, GPO, Powershell and IIS); Office 365; Dropbox; Google; and wireless equipment (Mikrotik).

    Average to in-depth knowledge: VoIP; certificate management; and Azure.

    Training will be given in: osTicket and ODIN

    Skills:

    Proficient in systematic problem-solving; clear and precise communication; and ability to diagnose and determine cause of problems and provide adequate solutions. Project management from scope to completion.

    Responsibilities:

    • Project management of migrations and develop policy and procedure.

    • Patient; good work ethic; positive outlook with can-do attitude; and friendly.
    • Sensory demands:
    • Working in an open-plan office candidate must be able to focus on own work while keeping an ear on conversations other technicians are having to step-in when problem can’t be solved by struggling technician.
