    Technical Account Manager, SSA

    Job description

    Technical Account Manager, SSA

    Calypso Technology is seeking a Technical Account Manager, SSA (Sub Saharan Africa), with at least 6 years’ experience to join a newly formed Customer Success team. The Technical Account Manager role will combine a classical relationship management and Sales support for existing clients role. This role is central in the organization and essential to both maintenance and revenue generation.

    Responsibilities

    • Act as the main point of contact for a client.
    • Co-ordinate the services and efforts of the Calypso organization and partners with the client, to align with client strategy, address burning issues and mitigate risks
    • Work closely with Sales and Professional Services, to proactively manage the relationship with the client
    • Achieve and maintain a measurable improvement in client satisfaction
    • Understand the client ‘topology’, their goals and strategies, and determine ways in which Calypso can help to address these goals and strategies
    • Build strong relationships with the Client project stakeholders at all levels within the client organization
    • Identify sales opportunities and ensure client support before involving Calypso Sales team to close the opportunity
    • Proactively seek ways of improving the services provided by the Customer Success team

    Skills & Requirements

    • Minimum of 6 years relevant experience in either the financial service software sector or IT Consulting.
    • Minimum of 3 years experience with Calypso products is an advantage.
    • Degree from a top-rated Business or Engineering School, or having graduated from a top-rated University in a scientific subject (Mathematics, Physics or Engineering)
    • Experience in the Account Management or implementation of a banking solution within a financial institution is a distinct advantage
    • Fluent written and spoken English mandatory, fluency in local language would be an advantage
    • Deep knowledge of best processes in industry processes, approaches and awareness
    • Strong interpersonal skills. The candidate will be communicating with senior levels of management both internally and externally (from C-level to Business Sponsors)
    • Excellent Client Relationship skills and must be client driven, have the ability to work within a team environment, and be focused on providing a high quality of service to the client
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills
    • Influence management skills; ability lead through influence and integrity and to work cooperatively at all levels across organizational boundaries to build and maintain the positive relationships required to accomplish organizational goals.
    • Strong business acumen, judgment, creativity and problem solving skills
    • Excellent expectations management skills
    • Able to thrive in a dynamic, fast paced, ever-changing working environment with an emphasis on delivering solutions to meet our aggressive deadlines
    • Ambitious, motivated to do the right thing
