    Sales and Marketing Executive

    Job description

    Qualifications and experience required

    • Bachelor's degree required in Healthcare, graduate degree in Public Health preferred
    • 10 years experience selling technical solutions and services into healthcare providers
    • Experience selling into hospitals/hospital networks
    • Understanding of enterprise software requirements and fundamentals of supply chain
    • Minimum 10 years healthcare sales experience
    • Proven leadership ability

    Requirements of the Position

    • Demonstrate expertise in South African Healthcare industry (Public and Private) knowledge, drawing on past experience
    • Together with Senior Executives, develop and execute short and long term Sales strategies.
    • Provision of accurate sales budget to Group Financial Executive.
    • Set and achieve sales targets through positive management of sales teams.
    • Grow market share internationally and in the South African Public and Private Sectors
    • Execution of Group Marketing Strategy and management of the MEDITECH South Africa Sales and Marketing function
    • Serves as a strategic advisor on the generation of complex opportunities within own business unit and occasionally other business units to provide repeatable consistent results
    • Serves as an expert in opportunity generation, directing strategy and driving innovation within the opportunity plan and occasionally within multiple opportunity plans
    • Serves as a role model in utilizing all own business unit resources and involving other business unit resources to provide incremental sales in executing the Solution Sales Process
    • Applies knowledge of the customer's business to develop optimal solutions
    • Proactively and with a regular cadence demonstrates to the customer the defined value of partnering with MEDITECH both pre- and post-sales
    • Effectively negotiates and collaborates with the customer and colleagues to influence support for mutually beneficial outcomes and achieve consensus
    • Builds and sustains relationships founded on trust with internal and external customers and ensures customer satisfaction and loyalty
    • Identifies and qualifies new sales opportunities and develops plans for introducing new solutions through collaborative relationships
    • Responsible for all legal and contractual matters falling within the sales and marketing ambit
    • Manages the Sales and Marketing department.

    Accountability in this role

    • Owns the sales pipeline from pre-sales to contract process
    • Drives revenue performance for all transactions
    • Review and actively influence deal profitability of transactions
    • Represent full range of products/services in business development
    • Able to articulate and sell MEDITECH’s value proposition
    • Understand customer requirements and internal/external factors influencing their needs
    • Understand key points of contact and how to coordinate customer contact points
    • Maintain momentum in pursuits / manage selling timeline
    • Negotiate terms and pricing within approved guidelines
