Job Purpose

HSA is looking for a financial manager with strong commercial, project management and administrative skills. You must thrive in a fast paced, dynamic and complex environment. Primarily you will be responsible for the financial management of the company, but also to support the CEO in the management of various projects, as well as overseeing the administrative functions of the company. The successful candidate will join a small entrepreneurial team with lofty ambitions and assist the company through a period of rapid growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Financial Management
• Maintain the financial records of the company

• Prepare invoices and manage debtors and creditors
• Manage payments and bank accounts
• Prepare monthly financialand management information packs
• Prepare and submit monthly tax, VAT and PAYE returns
• Prepare company’s budget
• Analyze costs, pricing, variable contributions, sales results and the company’s actual performance compared to the business plans
• Assist with company audit and preparation of annual financial statements
• Perform company secretarial duties as required
• Perform all other tasks normally associated with a financial manager of a company.
• Project and Operations Management
• Manage various company projects to efficiently drive and deliver projects that meet critical success criteria
• Collaborate with the CEO, internal managers and software developers, external developers, technology providers and clients to consistently achieve high levels of project quality and speed of delivery
• Work closely with the technical teams to manage project timelines, risks and resourcing
• Manage and foster effective relationships with key stakeholders through clear, consistent communication and collaboration
• Simplify, standardise and automate key project processes and documentation
• Use specialist project management skills to measure and report on outcomes, share insights and implement iterative solutions
• Use agile principles to foster continuous improvement in the execution of implementation projects
• Apply key learnings and provide feedback loops to improve effectiveness and speed of future projects
• Create, record, update and maintain critical project documentation.
• Office Administration
• Coordinate office activities and operations to improve efficiency and compliance with company policies
• Ad hoc tasks as agreed to by the parties as instructed by the CEO and other managers.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience

• Formal financial qualification (BComm Hons / BAcc Hons, Chartered Accountant)
• 5+ years of financial management experience
• Demonstrable project management experience in complex environments
• Excellent organisational and multi-tasking skills
• Good customer relations and communication skills
• Self starter comfortable working without supervision
• The ability to adapt to change in a delivery focused, fast-growth technology business
• Experience in an IT or healthcare environment is preferable

Hours: Flexible (Initial requirement is half-day only)

Start date: Immediate
