    Accountant (Property Management)

    About the role

    • We are looking for a detail-orientated and experienced Accountant to support the day-to-day accounts payable function for the portfolio.
    • The role is responsible for ensuring that supplier and intercompany invoices are processed accurately and timeously, that invoices meet the required VAT and billing standards, and that payment runs, reconciliations and supporting documentation are completed correctly.
    • You will also assist with supplier queries, general ledger administration, vendor maintenance, audit preparation and monthly reporting.

    • Minimum BCom with Accounting III.

    Property Manager – Retail Shopping Centre

    About the role

    • We are looking for an experienced and commercially minded Property Manager to take ownership of the day-to-day management and performance of a retail shopping centre.
    • This is a hands-on role requiring a strong all-round property professional who can balance leasing, financial performance, tenant relationships, facilities oversight, contractor management and team leadership.
    • You will be responsible for protecting and growing the income stream of the centre, managing vacancies and renewals, controlling operating expenditure, monitoring arrears, ensuring that service providers perform to standard, and maintaining strong relationships with tenants, brokers, clients and other stakeholders.

    • We are seeking an experienced and technically strong Senior Facilities Manager to take responsibility for the technical and operational management of a retail shopping centre.
    • This is a hands-on role requiring strong practical knowledge of building services and infrastructure, including electrical systems, HVAC, water reticulation, cooling plants, solar and energy systems, planned maintenance, utilities and contractor management.

    • Coordinate information required for meter readings, utilities and municipal billing where applicable.
    • Assist with key handovers, tenant vacating processes and pre-reinstatement inspections.
    • Escalate unresolved issues appropriately and ensure matters are followed through to completion.

    What success looks like in this role

    You will be successful in this role if you:

    • Work accurately and consistently with financial and contractual information.
    • Take ownership of tenant queries and outstanding actions.
    • Maintain strong control over deadlines and documentation.
    • Are comfortable engaging with tenants regarding outstanding accounts.
    • Understand the importance of FICA, POPIA and accurate record keeping.
    • Identify discrepancies early and take action to resolve them.
    • Build strong working relationships with tenants and internal teams.
    • Remain organised and professional in a busy retail property environment.
