Experienced Front-end Developer that is adept and focused on coding. This individual will work closely with our web designers, front-end and other back-end developers - as part of a team to provide website design, redesign, content management and maintenance of solutions to our commercial clients. They will be responsible for implementing visual elements that users see and interact with in a web application

The successful candidate will have a solid understanding of web development best practices and must be able to show examples of complex systems they have worked on for web and mobile.

Responsibilities will include

• Develop new user-facing features
• Build reusable code and libraries for future use
• Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs
• Optimize application for responsiveness, maximum speed and scalability
• Assure that all user input is validated before submitting to back-end
• Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders

We require individuals with at least 3-5 years of solid experience in:

• Proficient understanding of web markup, including HTML5, CSS3
• Good understanding of server-side CSS pre-processing platforms, such as LESS and SASS
• Good understanding of client-side scripting and JavaScript frameworks, including Angular, React, Riot, and of course JQuery
• Good understanding of asynchronous request handling, partial page updates, and AJAX/REST
• Knowledge of image authoring tools, to be able to crop, resize, or perform adjustments on an image. Familiarity with tools such as as Gimp or Photoshop (with Cloud) is a plus.
• Cut up of PSD designs to HTML/CSS/JavaScript - ie translation of the UI/UX design wireframes to actual code that will produce visual elements of the application
• Aspect Oriented Design & Object Oriented Design principles and patterns
• CMS development and integration (Umbraco would be a bonus)
• Responsive design principles
• Interaction and usability of traditional websites, RIAs, SPAs & hybrid mobile applications ( Cordova/PhoneGap/Xamarin).
• Understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git
• Agile Software Development methods
• Good understanding of SEO principles and ensuring that applications will adhere to them.

Grounded in Visual Studio

Working with templates in C# experience will be a bonus
