KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

• product specifications, packaging data QC catalogue/manual and artwork proofs
• Assist with the online approval of label artwork at suppliers, as and when required
• Assist with sourcing, developing and specifying packaging substrates, components, techniques in a timeous manner to meet deadlines
• Assist with online trials and transit test inspection evaluation and report writing
• Marketing & Production Support – take ownership of all samples/mock-ups required which includes the following, co-ordination/assembly/collection/packaging of samples
• Assist with Supplier Support, communicating final approved specifications to approved vendors/suppliers, obtain pre-production samples and setting up tolerances for future deliveries,
• Assist in the investigation of packaging complaints in assistance to QA in order to prevent packaging/component rejections and to assist suppliers in improving these packaging elements
• Preparing and provision of all packaging standards to QA/QC, to be used as line standards
• Assist QA/QC in checking and approval of delivered packaging components by comparing first deliveries to approved pre-production samples
• Assist with BOM update on SAP and Master data workflow initiation

• Adhere and monitor the adherence to the Safety regulations, procedures, and policies and attend safety dialogues, participate in safety inspections and report any unsafe conditions

Academic And Trade Qualifications

IPSA PACKAGING DIPLOMA

Work Experience And Skills

A minimum of 1 year experience in packaging development preferably in FMCG
