    Front-end Developer

    Job description

    Potential candidates should be living in Johannesburg, South Africa, have at least five years’ experience in web development. The ideal candidate must be passionate about what they do, can take on responsibility, is proactive when it comes to working. In addition, they can communicate a given strategy if need be. Needless to say, they will be able to bring a designers mock-ups to life using HTML, CSS, JavaScript and other core elements involved in front-end development.

    Requirements include:

    • Education level: Degree (three-year degree; honours a bonus).
    • High-level of competency in UI and UX across desktop, mobile and web applications.
    • Ability to create HTML5 rich media banners is a bonus.
    • Proficient in HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
    • Experience in Wordpress, Divi, Google Web Designer, Adobe Muse and Mailchimp.
    • A keen eye for detail (when working from a designers PSD files).
    • Proactive approach and willingness to learn.
    • A keenness to build things and break things apart.
    • Ability to work well under pressure.
    • Deadline driven.

    • Passion for what they do.
    • Responsibility and pride in the quality of work they deliver.
    • Flexibility in terms of both last-minute amendments and tasks, and alternating between bigger campaigns.
    • Leadership. Everything from ordered file structuring and completing tasks on time; to mentoring others.
    • Willingness to get stuck in and work closely with the design team. Leave your ego at the door.
