SECURITY ENGINEER – L3

A Global ICT solutions and services provider is currently looking for a Security Engineer L3 within the Security Solutions Division, who is an expert at troubleshooting. The ideal candidate will be proficient in Cisco technologies especially ISE, Threat defense, Firepower and all other Cisco security solutions.

You will be expected to;

• You will be expected to support, maintain and troubleshoot Cisco, Check Point, Fortinet, Palo Alto firewalls. Cisco ACS, Remote access and Site-to-Site VPN’s on all technologies, IPS Signature tuning, Application filtering support, Blue Coat proxy solutions, Websense, DLP solutions, and a vast number of other technologies.
• You will need a thorough understanding of all firewall, IPS, proxy, SSL solutions and AV/Malware solutions, compile and analyse client’s security reports during the month, assist clients with change requirements when calls are logged, work on Service Now (ITSM) to accept, update and resolve the calls logged from clients.
• Know how to follow proper change control processes on all client environments.
• Expected to be able to research new problems, identify the solutions and provide feedback.
• In short, you will need to analyses, maintain, install, and problem solve our client's environment

Key requirements:

• Strong experience as a 3rd level support Engineer
• Good understanding of networking technology, IP Segmentation, Routing and routing protocols
• Thorough understanding of malware, viruses, IPS, VPN’s Remote access and Site-to-Site, DLP, authentication protocols and two factor authentication solutions, Encryption technologies, Latest network designs and best practices.
• Outstanding troubleshooting skills
• Preferably a degree/diploma in engineering or computer science and must have Professional Level Technology certification
• Good understanding and working knowledge of firewall technologies, and trouble shooting skills in resolving problems.
• Good knowledge of Check Point, Cisco, ACS, ASA, ISE, Fortigate, Blue Coat, Tipping Point, Palo Alto, SIEM Tools
