    Solar PV Operations and Maintenance Manager

    Job description

    DUTIES

    • Conducting remote and on site troubleshooting and root cause analysis
    • Conducting and supporting annual electrical and mechanical inspections of solar PV systems
    • Organising and implementing equipment replacement including managing insurance and warranty claims
    • Supporting technicians during O&M operations where required
    • Management and scheduling of the O&M site teams
    • Enhance and maintain O&M ticketing system
    • Appointment and management of specialised contractors where required for O&M
    • Engagement with Engineering teams on O&M issues and design improvements
    • Liaison with technical managers for all technical resources required for Operations and Maintenance function
    • Daily remote checking and verification of solar plant condition and performance
    • Configuring automatic error reports for solar PV systems and interpreting automatic error reports
    • Monthly technical reporting for Exco
    • Quality control and verification of automatically generated monthly performance reports
    • Supplier Management
    • Managing and stocking spare part inventory
    • Analysing performance trends of solar PV systems to identify under-performance and deciding and taking appropriate corrective action

    REQUIREMENTS

    • 5 years of relevant work experience
    • Electrical Engineering Degree or Diploma (or related technical qualification or experience)
    • Valid Driver’s Licence
    • Excellent MS Office skills and computer literacy
    • Regular national travel will be required
