Job description

Purpose of the Role   

• To analyse, design, implement and support IT Data Centre Infrastructure relating to COLLABORATION SYSTEMS in support of the organization. Collaboration systems refers to systems relating to the sharing of unstructured information (File and Print, SharePoint, Mail, Internet Messaging, Skype for Business, Office 365 Services).

Qualifications   
Minimum:

• Grade 12

Ideal:

• A relevant 3 year degree / diploma in IT
• Microsoft Messaging and Collaboration Certification
• ITIL Foundation certification
• Microsoft Operating System Certification

Experience   

• 4+ years’ experience in Collaboration Systems Operational Support
• 4+ years’ experience in Collaboration Systems Design & Implementation
• Knowledge and skills   
• Analyse, design and implement Collaboration Systems and supporting infrastructure in alignment with organizational goals and constraints.
• Escalation support for Collaboration Systems.
• Define monitoring and administration for Collaboration Systems.
• Windows Server design and administration
• Microsoft Messaging and Collaboration design and administration (Exchange, SharePoint, Lync, Office 365, File-and-Print services and Mimecast)
• IT systems development processes (SDLC lifecycle)
• Business compliance requirements
• Business continuity planning
• IT Operations
• Windows Active Directory and supporting services
• X86 Hardware architecture and administration
• Virtualization design and administration
• Data centre infrastructure best practices
• Data Centre infrastructure performance and capacity analysis

Additional Requirements   

• Have own vehicle and a valid driver’s license.
• Be contactable on own cell phone.
• Be willing to work after hours / over weekends (outside of normal office hours) if and when required.
