    Senior Assitant Front Office Manager

    Job description

    Job Summary

    Assists the Front Office Manager in administering front office functions and supervising staff on a daily basis. Front office areas include Bell/Door Staff, Switchboard and Front Desk. Position directs and works with managers and employees to carry out procedures ensuring an efficient check in and check out process. Ensures guest and employee satisfaction and maximizes the financial performance of the department.

    Required Experience & Qualifications

    • A recognised qualification in Hospitality Management
    • Two to three years relevant experience in a similar position within a hotel environment
    • Proficiency in Microsoft packages as well as extensive knowledge of Fidelio Opera
    • Experience in IR management and disciplinary processes
    • Good leadership and interpersonal skills essential

    Key Responsibilities

    • Complete all daily duties as set out in departmental duties and requirements.
    • Assist the Convention Sales Manager by ensuring the day to day operations is executed at the expected standards.
    • Assist with the monitoring of staff performance and compliance to the required standard operating procedures.
    • Effectively supervise & coordinate the operations in order to achieve set goals and required deadlines as deemed necessary.
    • Deal with guests complaints and action
    • Ensuring rosters are in accordance with occupancies.
    • Administrative duties – payroll input and training.
    • Ensure that the standards of service excellence and guest satisfaction are met and maintained.
    • Effective planning, assigning and delegations of tasks to meet deadlines.
    • IR management -ensure disciplinary processes are carried out and adhered to.
    • Effective communication, problem solving, decision making and conflict management.
