Job Summary

The candidate will be involved in all aspects of the implementation of the reporting solution, including: Analysis & Design, System & Functional Testing, User Acceptance Testing, Training and Implementation / Documentation

Qualification & System Exposure

• Related Financial/Investment/Commercial qualification
• Some experience of Reporting Tools/Report Development – optional/advantageous
• Some experience with SQL within enterprise projects (Developing SQL Queries, Stored Procedures, data analysis and proven understanding of relational data management principles) – optional/advantageous
• Some experience of Java coding within enterprise projects – optional/advantageous
• Strong working knowledge of MS Office
• Some experience of Excel VBA Macro Development – optional/advantageous

Required Experience:

• Related experience of working on client reporting projects gained either in an asset manager or working for a client reporting software vendor is essential
• You would need to have knowledge of client reporting content and data as well as a full project life cycle
• Strong business analysis skills and experience of providing end-user training would be beneficial
• In terms of technical requires you would need some experience of Reporting Tools/Reporting coding as an advantage
• Experience with SQL within enterprise projects (Developing SQL Queries, Stored Procedures, data analysis and proven understanding of relational data management principles)
• Some experience of Java coding within enterprise projects – optional/advantageous
• Some experience of Excel VBA Macro Development – optional/advantageous

Duties & responsibilities:

• Work as part of the project team on the implementation of client reporting solutions, including delivering data extracts, reports and supporting workflows
• Ability to work to tight deadlines and under pressure
• Flexibility around working hours
• Train designated staff members and administrators on the strategic solution design and business logic used
• Develop and produce customized documentation
• Document procedures and methods used in the solution, and develop materials
• Knowledge of the computer, technology services industries, and/or investment management
• Experience with server administration (Windows and/or non-Windows) is a plus
• Able to demonstrate problem solving and creative “solutioning” skills
