Job description

Minimum Requirements:

• High School Certificate or relevant.
• Possess a valid Forklift License.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a forklift operation, in any capacity.
• Knowledge of basic security (safety), or other training in the field.
• Experience in operating a forklift with operator responsibilities.
• Palletising.
• Manual Handling.
• Warehouse general roles and responsibilities including housekeeping.
• Good knowledge of Health and Safety rules.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Load and carry heavy loads.
• Dispatch the activities of loading and unloading
• Receive work instructions.
• Carry out management of the machine safely (prestart check).
• Follow and adhere to company policy and procedures.
• Reliable with excellent time-keeping skills.
• Unloading materials and merchandise from incoming heavy goods vehicles
• (HGV), and stacking them in assigned locations.
• Locating and moving stock of products to pallets or crates, for storage or shipment.
• Manually handling goods when necessary.
• Ensure that the correct PPE is worn at all times.
• Apply regularly all safety measures in order to minimize the incidents, accidents and equipment damage.
• Complete the checklist of maintenance each morning, and using it safely.
• Awareness of all relevant Health and Safety procedures, and able to maintain a safe working environment.
• Assist with stock takes / cycle counts for warehouse staff.
• Perform other tasks as and when assigned.

Skills and Knowledge:

• Good communication skills in English, would be advantageous.
• Ability to work in multi-cultural environment.
• Deadline driven.
• Ability to work in all weather conditions, both indoor and outdoor.
• Must be physically and mentally healthy and safety conscious.
• Excellent hand / eye coordination.
• Ability to listen attentively, read and follow directions accurately.
